First, when buying a one-way ticket (CNY 20), you need to tell the ticket seller whether you want to buy an uphill or downhill ticket. If you don't specify, you will be given an uphill ticket by default. The ticket will indicate whether it is for uphill or downhill, and they are not interchangeable. Second, if you want to walk one way, it is recommended to take the bus uphill first and then walk downhill. This is because the scenic area bus takes about 20 minutes to reach the scenic spot, and it takes about an hour and a half to complete the mountain sightseeing, which is generally easy and time-saving. After descending the mountain, Nan Street became our unexpected surprise. Not only does it retain the quaint charm of old streets, but it also incorporates some modern elements, making one feel as if they are in the midst of a Huayi Brothers movie town. Along the street, a variety of farmhouse restaurants emit tempting aromas. Walking into any one of them, one can taste the authentic flavors of Xinyang, a simplicity and deliciousness that lingers in memory. As the sun sets, filled with memories and reluctance, we conclude our day's journey to Jigong Mountain. The city of Xinyang, with its unique charm, has left a deep impression on us. Jigong Mountain, located within the territory of Xinyang City, Henan Province, to the east of Tongbai Mountain, at the westernmost end of the Dabie Mountains, is a national nature reserve. The area is rich in forest and biological resources, earning the reputation of 'dividing the green between Henan and Hubei, and controlling the three rivers'. The 'Buddha's light, sea of clouds, rime, rain crust, rosy clouds, exotic flowers and plants, peculiar peaks and rocks, waterfalls and flowing springs' are known as the eight great natural landscapes. On the mountain, there are architectural complexes from the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China with different nationalities and styles, known as the 'World Architecture Museum', which was the first public concession in Chinese history. The most characteristic buildings include the Yilu House, General's Tower, Misty Rain Tower, Huijing Tower, American Church, and Swedish Building. At 765 meters, ascending to the peak offers an unobstructed view of the entire mountain. At the foot of Baoxiao Peak, there is a poem inscribed: 'Ascend Jigong Mountain leisurely, climb Baoxiao Peak swiftly, where the scenery is fine, and the summer heat is tempered by autumn winds.' Jigong Mountain is named after this peak, and Baoxiao Peak is the symbol of Jigong Mountain.
