#Overseas travel 📍 Fukuoka Kōkaidō Guest House During my trip to Fukuoka, I felt like I had briefly visited Europe. It was the Kōkaidō Guest House. The exterior first catches your eye. Thanks to the classic Western-style architecture, it makes you feel like you are in a small European castle in the middle of Japan. When you enter, the faint scent of fresh flowers welcomes you first. Thanks to the flowers carefully decorated here and there, the entire space feels even more luxurious and cozy. The first floor is a restaurant with an old-fashioned atmosphere, and if you have time, I recommend you enjoy a meal there. When you go up to the second floor, you will find a reception room and conference room where VIPs used to be welcomed, and an exhibition space with antique furniture and artwork on display. The interior, with its gorgeous chandeliers, stained glass windows, and red carpets, makes you feel as if you've stepped into a scene from a classic movie. With the garden view outside the window, it's a great place to quietly stay and imagine the past. Pushing open the heavy door, I was greeted by an elegant and heavy atmosphere, taking me back to the glorious Meiji era. Entering the main hall, you will see intricate chandeliers hanging low, setting off the intricately carved patterns on the walls. The room is filled with the elegant atmosphere of old aristocratic gatherings. The handrails on the wooden stairs are smooth and delicate, as if telling the stories of generations coming and going. The sunlight shines in through the stained glass windows, and the interweaving of light and shadow seems to connect the past and the present together. Strolling through the courtyard, the neatly trimmed green plants and elegant fountains are refreshing. This VIP guesthouse is not only a witness to history, but also an art space where elegance and culture are intertwined. The short stay allowed me to appreciate the beauty of the passage of time and I was deeply impressed by the diverse cultural heritage of Fukuoka.

It was my first time in Fukuoka. I was very interested in the yatai, so I went there with my friends. The surrounding scenery was very beautiful at night. It might be because the weather was cold and we arrived very early, around 6:00. There were not many yatai we saw, only about 10 stalls were open for business! But every stall is already packed with customers! Most of them are barbecue, ramen and other foods. Hope to try it next time! Feel the scary atmosphere.

The "Kyufukuoka Prefectural Public Hall Kihinkan" is located in Nakasu Tenjin Central Park. It is a Western-style building built in the Meiji era and is a national important cultural property. It is a retro building remaining in Nishi-Nakasu. Construction began in 1909 and it was used as a guest reception hall. After that, it became a lodging facility for the imperial family, and was also used as a military headquarters during the war. It is a two-story wooden retro building in the French Renaissance style. Adult admission: 200 yen, and it is open to the public, but there are also days when it is free, such as during Dontaku festival. It is one of the few Western-style buildings in Fukuoka. It is worth a visit when you are traveling to Fukuoka!

Fukuoka Guest House Square 6-17 Nishinakasu, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka From sunset to 10pm I went to a Christmas event that I wanted to try during my trip to Fukuoka! I was really looking forward to it because it was apparently going to be a hot topic on TV. It's an event with many shops lined up in front of the former Fukuoka Prefectural Public Hall, which was built in 1910. You can buy snow globes, mulled wine, and food, so I had a light meal here and listened to a concert that day. There were many Santas, and it was really nice. We went to the Former Fukuoka Prefectural Public Hall Kihinkan in Tenjin Central Park in Nishinakasu. It is a historic building registered as an Important Cultural Property as a wooden building in the French Renaissance style from the Meiji period! The outside of the building is heavy and beautiful, but once you go inside, it's even more beautiful✨ The atmosphere changes completely from the surrounding air, and it feels like you've wandered into the Meiji period💓 There is also a cafe inside the building where you can enjoy pancakes and desserts🍰 It's rare to have tea time in an atmosphere like this, so it feels very special🫶 You don't need to apply to take photos for personal purposes, but please note that you need to apply for commercial purposes📷 #FukuokaTourism #Tenjin #FukuokaTrip

At the Former Fukuoka Prefectural Public Hall Kihinkan, from 11/22 (Wed) to 12/25 (Mon), there is an event where you can see lots of Santas from 17:00 to 22:00 on weekdays and 12:00 to 22:00 on weekends. The illuminations are very beautiful, there are lots of Santas, and it's perfect for Instagram. There were lots of shops like a German market lined up. They also had mulled wine and beer. #christmas2023 A beautiful classical building that was built in the early 1900 . Excellent design. Beautiful building and you can drink coffee in the original dinning hall. FUKUOKA letter sign for taking photo icon landmark just in front of the hall. We were lucky as the Xmas decorations with all Santa Clauses surrounding the hall and garden. It was a fun experience, and just as amusing with all of the different santa figures scattered accross the place.

Every year, the One Flower Per Person Spring Festival is held from the end of March to early April. Tulips and seasonal flowers bloom between Hakata Station and Maizuru Park. This year, the festival is being held from April 8th to 18th at the main venue, the Fureai Hiroba on the west side of Fukuoka City Hall. I was able to go just in time today.
