This time, we chose to visit Fukuoka. We took a direct flight from Suvarnabhumi Airport and arrived in the morning, ready to start exploring right away. Our first stop was a shrine, followed by Nanzoin Temple. For transportation within Fukuoka, we mainly used trains. Travel cards and credit cards can be used for various transportation options, making it very convenient. Other attractions in the city are beautiful, and the food, famous restaurants, and of course, the original branch of Ichiran Ramen are not to be missed. It's truly worth visiting! 🇯🇵

I tried using GO at both the north and south exits for 5 minutes but nothing happened. Luckily, I met a taxi at the station. Based on my experience, in small places, taxis will be waiting to pick up cars when they arrive or are about to leave. The one-way taxi fare for going up or down the mountain is ~3,000 yuan. The mountain is divided into two areas. There are not many people on weekdays, but due to the popularity, many locals still drive up. Overall, there are fewer people than in Kyoto. Some maple leaves are still yellowish, maybe because of the different tree species, but the ones here in Tennoin are basically red and half of them have fallen. This most beautiful place is probably only going to last until the weekend. Due to time constraints, there are still many corners that I didn't go into, including a paid tower that I didn't go into. I felt that the long-range telephoto shot at the turning point on the mountain road would be better, but it was against the light so I didn't take it in the end. 💞Recommended reasons: There is a courtyard with a wall of red plants behind it. Beautiful temple in the middle of nature. There are several paths leading to different altars. There's a train station nearby, but if you are driving, there is a big parking lot one street down - if the small parking lots in front of the temple are full. it's a 30-minute drive from downtown Fukuoka. It is possible to pay 500 yen and enter the Buddha statue. You also get to write a wish and give it for a monk's blessing. All instructions are in Japanese though. Make sure to wear knee length shorts or pants. Tatoos should also be covered. There's also a nice restaurant at the back of the souvenir shop at the bottom of the slope.

It was an easy 26-minute JR ride from Hakata Station on the Fukuhoku Yutaka Line to reach this temple, nestled deep within a forest. The sound of rain pattering on the leaves and my umbrella, combined with the rushing water of the waterfalls, truly added a sense of divinity to Nanzoin.
