Must-visit market recommendations:
1️⃣Coconut Market 'Chiang Mai'
Opening hours: Saturday and Sunday 08:00-16:00
Features: Coconut groves, streams, and bamboo bridges are very photogenic, the market mainly offers snacks. I didn't go on a weekend, but walking around the coconut grove waterways was very pleasant, and key is that it's very convenient for taking photos!
2️⃣Jing Jai Market 'Chiang Mai'
Opening hours: Saturday and Sunday 07:00-13:00
Features: An artistic atmosphere market mainly for clothing and handicrafts, where you can find a lot of interesting handmade crafts.
3️⃣Bamboo Saturday Market 'Chiang Mai'
Opening hours: Saturday: 07:00-11:00
Features: Various fresh breads that are delicious and good-looking, plus super tempting handmade hot cocoa! Actually, this is a bakery that brought its bread to the market, but there's a great variety! The market is small, and you can finish browsing in half an hour!
4️⃣Baan Kang Wat 'Chiang Mai'
Opening hours: Open every day except Monday
Features: Mostly consists of handicraft shops and workshops of niche artists, the buildings in the village are also quite original. I absolutely love this shiny shell craft shop🎉.
5️⃣Tha Phae Gate Night Market 'Chiang Mai'
Opening hours: Saturday and Sunday 16:00-22:00
Features: The market stretches across the entire old city, mainly offering various distinctive snacks and Thai clothing, with very convenient transportation.
7️⃣Chiang Mai University Night Market 'Chiang Mai'
Opening hours: 17:00-22:00
Features: Perhaps because it's near Chiang Mai University, it's much cheaper than other markets. Compared to other night markets in Chiang Mai, this one has the most complete selection of snacks, a must-visit!
8️⃣Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market 'Bangkok'
Although it's not as bustling as Thailand's 🇹🇭 most prosperous Damnoen Saduak. There are also super many snacks here, you must try the salt-grilled fish, the key is it's close to the center of Bangkok, only 20 kilometers away. A 30-minute taxi ride. BTS to Bang wa station
9️⃣ICONSIAM Siam Indoor Floating Market 'Bangkok'
I think for sisters who want to explore marketplaces during the day, this is a great place to come! It has air conditioning! This isn't a real floating market, it's an indoor food market with a water theme. I absolutely adore the big lamb bone hotpot here, it's a bit more expensive than other markets, after all, it's in a central shopping mall, and it has air conditioning. And you must try the AFTER YOU smoothie!
