Floating Market in Hat Yai 🇹🇭
#winhkflight
📍Khlong Hae Floating Market, Hat Yai
We visited this famous floating market in Hat Yai during fasting month, and to our surprise it is not crowded at all, even on a weekend! There was a fleet of boats selling food (fries, meat skewers kind of thing) and drinks like Thai tea. This was such a unique experience as visitors will have to buy the food or drinks from the sidewalk. Love that some of the vendors sell drinks in a bamboo, how creative is that! The sidewalks were well lit up and bright, we managed to catch some buskers on the bridge as well. Besides, they have a small market selling clothing items, souvenirs, arts and craft items so be sure to check them out!
I wish to travel to Hong Kong for the food!

Khlong Hae Floating Market is situated in Khlong Hae, Hat Yai District, Songkhla 90110, Thailand.
This market have quite a number of vendors selling Thai street food, drinks & souvenirs on the boats which moored by the riverside.
Khlong Hae Floating Market is about 6 km away from Hatyai Downtown, we called a grab car which cost TB150 to the market. We had eaten lots of local delights and bought some souvenirs from the market, really had a wonderful evening there!
The market is open on weekend only(Friday, Saturday & Sunday) from 1pm - 9pm.

A must-visit attraction in Hatyai, it’s really fantastic n amazing! People selling their products, foods, snacks on their boats, which is really interesting - paying money in the basket n getting your foods from the basket too.😁👍🏻✨

Khlong Hae Floating Market
Best out of the best!! It is located at Hat Yai Thailand, about 20 minutes drive from the city centre, you can just open google maps or Waze and type Khlong Hae Floating Market.
The foods were delicious and cheap, as you all know, Thailand is famous for their foods. So many types of foods that we were not aware of, and many halal foods too so Muslim tourists do not need to be worry.#awesomepic #foodie #mytripvlog #tripblazers #urbanexplorer

The Best Floating Market to taste local food!
Best place to taste local food.
Khlong Hae Floating Market, Hatyai.
Kind of a touristy market, and very popular, but still an enjoyable experience. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings only. Plenty of food of all types. The "floating" food sellers were mobbed, so unless you really feel the need to order from them, you can get similar food on land. They put on traditional dance exhibitions, which also get mobbed. There are the usual 5b public toilets, and Muslim prayer rooms as well. Easy ride from the center of Hat Yai. If you come from the south, you can't cross the river with your motorbike. Turn left into the temple about 100 meters south of the bridge. The attendant will collect 10b from you. Then you can walk across the river and enjoy!

Floating Markets - Hatyai
I went to Khlong Hae Floating Market right after the place closed down due to flood. The place located in between hatyai town and songkhla town.
Its supposed to be waterside market with vendors selling Thai street food, drinks & souvenirs from boats. Due to the flood its only sells at the store above.
There’s a variety of foods selling there. If you don’t want to buy the food, the view itself its very pretty and rare.

floating market hat yai
The Khlong Hae Floating Market is located about 20 minutes from the city center. One can get food from the boat sellers and be warned that the food sold here are repetitive. The boats are stationary and one just shopped along the length of the pier. Recommended for Muslim tourists as the food sellers are all Muslim.
There got many very delicious food. Very cheap and very good taste. The people all very friendly.
Food very cheap and also variety. But place to eat so limited. Open only Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Open at 3pm onwards , please bring hat ,sunglasses, handy fan because the weather very hot with so many people.
Can find local thai food along the river. There is also another section eating and shop on top of the river place. Beside food, souvenirs, shirts, pants, also can buy in that place. Price consider reasonable. Nice place to visit for an experienced.

Fluffy Mini Bird Eggs Fried, Hat Yai
If you happen to be in Hat Yai Floating Market, it is a must to try the Thailand famous fried bird eggs. These mini fried eggs are Thailand's cutest street food. The way the vendors prepared them was pretty simple, heat the Takoyaki pan, once the pan is heated, add some vegetable oil, crack eggs and gently place in the pan. The seasonings are simple too, only white pepper and soy sauce. It was so delicious! They served the dish in a handmade banana leaf bowl. Love that! I didn't know Takoyaki pan can be used to fry eggs!

Khong Hae Floating Market
Khlong Hae Floating Market is a floating market located in Tambon Khlong Hae, Amphoe Hat Yai, Songkhla Province opposite Wat Khlong Hae. It is regarded as the first and only floating market in southern Thailand. This market is located about 4 kilometers from the town of Hat Yai and is only open from Friday to Sunday - 3pm till 9pm. You may get a Tuk-Tuk to go there. It is a must try for bamboo or porcelain drinks, prawn or fish cakes, Thai spicy seafood soup noodle in coconut, Thai style coconut ice-cream, coconut milk with sea coconut, fruits, crunchy red thingy, and fried bird eggs. I have also seen some Pandan leaves roses, they were so beautifully made. Tips: You have to be careful with pickpockets.

Heaven for food lover!
This place is once in a lifetime must visit place. Situated in Hat Yai river, it is well known as Hat Yai floating market. There are varieties of foods are available to choose. From coconut water to seafood fried rice and many more. Most importantly the foods are halal sold by Muslim vendors in their sampan or small boat. Parking space are easily available and accessible. The price are really reasonable ranging from 20 Baht to 50 Baht only for a very good portion. Apart from foods, there are also many other items available such as clothes, souvenirs, local merchandise and many more. There are also a stage where local performers perform. Indeed, it is a must visit location in Hat Yai.

Floating market thailand
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market's popularity grew to new heights in 1971-1973 when the river was full of farmers on their boats selling their wares. And that is the way trade is performed in this area until today...... my very 1st pengalaman datang sini.. hahahahhaha... fun.. tapi kawasan yang sesak dan bau air yang tidak bikin selesa.. but tetap pengalaman yang menarik... semuanyaaaa menarik....

Khlong Hae: A Floating Feast for the Senses
#songkran2024
Wandering through the Khlong Hae Floating Market was an immersive journey into the heart and soul of Thai culture. The moment I stepped onto the wooden walkways lining the canal, I was enveloped in a whirlwind of sights, sounds, and smells. Traditional longtail boats adorned with colorful umbrellas and lanterns floated gracefully along the water, each one a treasure trove of culinary delights and handmade crafts.
As I strolled along, I couldn't help but marvel at the vibrant tapestry of colors that surrounded me – from the rainbow-hued fruits piled high in baskets to the intricately woven textiles displayed with pride by local artisans. Everywhere I turned, there was something new to discover, whether it was the tantalizing aroma of sizzling pad thai wafting from a makeshift kitchen or the melodic strains of live traditional music drifting through the air.
One of the highlights of my experience was sampling the diverse array of street food offerings. From piping hot bowls of fragrant tom yum soup to crispy fried bananas drizzled with sweet condensed milk, every bite was a revelation of flavors and textures. I savored each mouthful, relishing the opportunity to taste authentic Thai cuisine prepared with love and skill by local vendors.
But beyond the culinary delights, what truly captivated me was the warm hospitality and genuine sense of community that permeated the market. Whether haggling over prices with a friendly vendor or sharing a smile and a nod with fellow visitors, I felt a deep connection to the people and traditions that make Khlong Hae Floating Market such a special place.
As the sun began to set and the lanterns cast their soft glow over the water, I reluctantly bid farewell to this enchanting oasis of culture and commerce. But the memories of my time spent at Khlong Hae Floating Market will stay with me forever, serving as a reminder of the beauty and magic that can be found in the most unexpected places.

Floating Frenzy @ Khlong Hae Floating Market
Over Deepavali weekend my friend and I visited Hat Yai and stopped by Khlong Has Floating Market after about 25 minutes Tuk-tuk ride from the city centre. Throngs of Malaysians on long holiday weekend were there too which made it hard to feel like I was actually in Hat Yai, and not somewhere in Malaysian soil. But the offerings are a plenty from local Thai food, and what seems like a crowd favorite, coconut water served in bamboo jar. Muslim travellers worry not, Halal food are easily available here. So did scores and scores of souvenir shops, to take home some mementos. It was a busy weekend at the floating market for sure! Tired of walking? At dawn after National Anthem, there were cultural shows in the esplanade area for visitors to enjoy and soak in what made Hat Yai special. #grouptrip #hatyai #thailand #market #floatingmarket #khlonghae

Food Haven: Hat Yai🇹🇭
Hat Yai is perfect for food hunting. You can get affordable and various Thai cuisine here, and a lot of restaurants are Halal too. I totally recommend going to Khlong Hae Floating Market where the locals sell food from their small boats - make sure you go on weekend. For shopping, you can go to Kim Yong Market for nuts, dried squid, fish skin, and tropical fruits. A 3 days 2 night trip should be good for Hat Yai.
