Tham Khao Yoi Temple, a beautiful temple in Phetchaburi Province
Khao Yoi Cave or Wat Tham Khao Yoi is located in Khao Yoi Subdistrict, Khao Yoi District, Phetchaburi Province. It is another ancient cave in Phetchaburi Province. It is a large stone mountain. Inside the cave, there is a reclining Buddha and various Buddha statues. There is also a replica of the footprint of King U Thong for you to pay homage to. After you have finished paying homage to the Buddha, you can walk around and enjoy the nature and beautiful caves.
In addition, there are also Tham Sawan, Tham Phra Si Ariya, and Tham Ko Tamo for you to visit. Tham Sawan is located near a cliff, about 50 meters high. There is a road with stairs and a walkway along the cliff. You can see the nature, forest, and scenery all around. Inside the cave, it is narrow and dark, with long hollows. Some parts of the cave are flooded, which is why bats live there.
Tham Phra Si Ariya is located at the end of the road along the mountain that leads to Tham Sawan. Tham Ko Tamo can be walked along the shoulder of the mountain from Tham Phra Si Ariya, which will take you right to the cave. If anyone wants to start walking from the stairs to the temple grounds in front of Khao Yoi, you can walk straight there. It is only about 500 meters away. In addition to the beautiful nature that we have seen, in the Khao Yoi cave area, you can also find little monkeys. Of course, we have to be careful with these little monkeys.
