Not a long time ago, we visited this beautiful park located in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. This park is very popular among locals and is often visited by tourists like us. The national park is probably the most famous destination in Khao Yai. We loved our camping here. Just a three hour drive from Bangkok, you’ll reach the picturesque town of Khao Yai. We booked one of the most famous hotels in Khao Yai which is Thames Valley. The moment we arrived, we thought were transported to an English country side. Thames Valley is beyond beautiful with the vines, cobblestone and perfectly manicured gardens. The hotel rooms are spacious and come with a lovely balcony (see images). The hotels restaurants and spa are amazing as well! As a day activity, we visited PB Valley Khao Yai for wine tasting where we taken around the property and cellar and briefed about the place. We informed that this is first winery in all of Thailand! The tour is conducted 4 times a day (9:30 am, 11:00 am, 1:30 pm, 3:00 pm). After the tour, we had lunch at their restaurant. Next, we went to Palio which is dubbed as mini Italy of Thailand. The entire place looks like you’re walking through the streets of Lake como or Cinque Terre. There are a ton of shops and restaurants to check out. Just make sure to visit during the day and not evening as most of the shops close pretty early. Anyone who goes to Khao Yai National Park should try walking to Haew Narok Waterfall at least once in their life. The path is not brutal, but you need some strength. People who don't exercise like us will be so tired that they almost faint, but we survived. People who exercise regularly will feel comfortable. There are rest stops along the way. It is not recommended for the elderly or those with knee problems because there are many steep stairs. Try it. Bring a bottle of water. Khao Yai is known to many as a place with many themed attractions and hotels. But we sometimes forget that it is a National Park after all in a mountainous region. While in Khao Yai, we took the opportunity to do a hike around some areas of the National Park. The park is huge, incredibly stunning and a wonderful place to immerse yourself in nature. Since we had our own car, it was easy to get to the main entrance. From there we explore the many trails leading to scenic viewpoints and hidden waterfalls. It is also a popular spot to spot animals, however that wasn’t easy and we only saw some sambar deers and monkeys. Overall it was very fun day! Some tips: - Do wear protective coverings as leeches are everywhere - Bring lots of mosquito repellent - Bring food and water as there are not many options once in the National Park - Get a local tour guide #gohiking

Having a really good time with my family here at Khao Yai, Thailand. We have a small camping together. My mother prepared a very delicious shabu shabu while my father enjoy drinking wine with nature. A nice cafe with stunning view over the lake and mountains. Pirom Cafe is near a nature place located in Khaoyai, also attraction for cafehopping and into Nature hood. Very relaxing and therapy. The design is modern temporary mix with upcountry style. Totally nice atmosphere around that place. There are many photo shot point around the café. Khao Yai National Park is the second biggest national park in Thailand, located in the middle and northeast of Thailand and covered in 3-4 provinces. I’ve been there for 3 days and 2 nights while renting camping stuff from the National Park office and it was good quality stuff. The national park has a lot of wild animals such as monkeys 🙊 deer 🦌 porcupines, guar and elephants 🐘 and more…etc. The weather is quite nice also it went down to 13 degrees Celsius in the early morning and up until 23 degrees Celsius. I like to walk inside nature way, it has many trees and waterfalls.
