Sam Roi Yot Freshwater Marsh is a unique and biodiverse wetland located in the Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, in the Prachuap Khiri Khan Province of Thailand. The marsh is fed by freshwater from nearby mountains and is an important habitat for a wide range of aquatic plants and animals, including many rare and endangered species.
The marsh covers an area of approximately 36 square kilometers and is surrounded by limestone hills and the sea. The water in the marsh is shallow, with an average depth of just one meter, and is home to a variety of aquatic plants, such as water lilies, lotus, and cattails. These plants provide important habitat for a range of aquatic animals, including frogs, turtles, fish, and various invertebrates.
The Sam Roi Yot Freshwater Marsh is also an important breeding ground for many species of birds, including egrets, herons, and kingfishers. During the winter months, the marsh attracts a large number of migratory birds, which travel from as far away as Siberia to escape the harsh winter weather.
In addition to its ecological significance, the marsh is also an important resource for local communities, who rely on it for fishing and agriculture. Local fishermen use traditional methods to catch fish in the marsh, and rice fields located around the marsh benefit from the nutrient-rich water.
Visitors to the marsh can explore the area by boat or kayak, taking in the beautiful scenery and wildlife. There are also several hiking trails around the marsh, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the surrounding hills and learn about the local flora and fauna.

Beautiful beyond words 😮.
The main places're not close to each other. They're on both sides of the mountain range. Difficult to visit them all in one day.
The ticket is valid for all places in the national park for one day.

Unseen Prachuap: They Kissed!!!
Boat Ride to See the Kissing Rocks 👩❤️👨
This post will take you to an unseen destination in Sam Roi Yot, Prachuap Khiri Khan.
At Khao Chu Bok Cave, you can take a boat ride to enjoy the natural scenery, lotus fields, and the evening sunlight passing through a small gap in the rocks that resemble two people kissing.
The atmosphere here is fantastic. After boarding the boat, the crew will take you on a tour of the lotus pond and mountain views. If you go in the evening, you can enjoy the sunset. However, if you want to see the blooming lotuses, you should come around 6 AM because they start to close later in the morning.
The highlight here is the spot where two rocks face each other, looking like people kissing, making it a popular photo spot.
💸 The boat costs 600 THB per trip, accommodating up to 4 people. The boat ride takes about 1-2 hours.

Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, Thailand
Incredibly beautiful park is an hour's drive from Hua Hin. The park is huge and this is just one of its parts. There's nowhere to go without a car, you can't walk along it. The park is not expensive and it is better to go there right in the morning, or stay overnight, there are a lot of hotels nearby. The park staff is very good, there is an opportunity to take pictures from a drone. I definitely recommend it #thailand #huahin #nationalpark #khaosamroiyot #localguides #trip
