Don't think about Everest until you have conquered Khao No.
Everest, don't think about it if you haven't conquered "Khao No Khao Kaew".
A day trip for those who want to start conquering the mountain, not far from Bangkok.
Khao No Khao Kaew is located in Ban Daen Subdistrict, Bapphaphisai District, Nakhon Sawan Province. It's not difficult to get there because the entrance is on the Asian Road, not far from Nakhon Sawan City. When you drive, you will see the mountain standing tall for you to see clearly.
Just drive and turn in, you will see a beautiful view from the entrance road. Before you reach Khao No, there will be a viewpoint, a bridge, for you to go in and take pictures. The view behind is Khao No. Or if you want to sit and enjoy the breeze in the late afternoon until evening, it's also comfortable.
On the day we went, we chose to stay at a resort next to Khao No because we wanted to soak in the atmosphere and chill with friends in the evening. And we chose to go up the mountain in the early morning.
We contacted an uncle who is a local named Uncle Nan who took us up the mountain. We made an appointment with Uncle at 5 am in front of the gate of Khao No Temple. Uncle will take us to park the car inside with a door to keep out the monkeys because there are a lot of monkeys here. But in the morning when we went, we didn't see any monkeys because the monkeys weren't awake yet. LOL But what impressed me the most was that not only did the uncle take us up, he also took really beautiful pictures. The pictures with us were taken by the uncle who helped us arrange the angles. As for the service fee, it's up to you, but I believe that once you climb up and get pictures from beautiful angles, you'll want to give him more than you thought. And the uncle is really kind. We could feel that he was really happy that he took us up here and was happy to tell us beautiful angles to take pictures.
The walk up the mountain from the temple grounds to the top of the mountain is about 1 kilometer, but it took about 1 hour because the first part of the way up is a staircase with more than 700 steps. This part made us out of breath. But what made our legs shake was the steep stairs like monkey stairs, with 5 sections, some of which were almost 90 degrees.
But when we got up there, we were no longer tired because it was worth it, I can't describe it. Even though we saw fog at the beginning, the air was so fresh that we wanted to take some of the air back home. We sat for a while and the sky cleared up and the fog disappeared, and we got a really beautiful view, as you can see. But the pictures we took were not as beautiful as seeing it with our own eyes. I really want you to come and see it for yourself.
Going up to the top will be a mountain peak. I recommend bringing drinking water and shoes that are a bit sticky because the stairs on the monkey stairs will be a bit slippery if there is dew on them.
***** I would like to leave this for everyone who goes up there. Don't write anything to show that you have arrived or anything like that. It makes the place dirty and destroys nature. And everyone who brought anything up, please bring it down. We will have beautiful tourist attractions for a long time. ❤️❤️❤️
