[Kanazawa Scenic Spots] One-day Tour Attractions
# City Day Trip
When you visit the quaint city of Kanazawa, you must choose the right photo spots. The three attractions recommended this time are within walking distance: Kenrokuen, Kanazawa Castle and Higashi Tea House Street. If you want to play around Kanazawa in one day, these three places are the most suitable.
1. Three famous gardens: and six gardens
Kenrokuen Garden is one of the three famous gardens in Japan. It was the garden of the daimyo (the princes) during the Edo period. It took a long time and a lot of manpower and material resources to build. Stepping into Kenrokuen is like going back to the Edo period, and there are different scenery in the four seasons. The six victories of Kenrokuen refer to "grand", "deep", "human power", "paogu", "water spring" and "viewing". It really sounds like I am very hipster. Going to the site to take pictures and visit, is also full of literary atmosphere.
🕰️Opening hours: 07:00 ~ 18:00
📍Address: 1 Kenrokuen-cho, Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture
2. Kanazawa City Park
Kanazawa Castle was once the residence of the Maeda family, inferior or not very shocking due to its height. But since it is only a bridge away from Kenrokuen, after visiting Kenrokuen, you might as well go and check in, become a feudal lord, and patrol!
🕰️Opening hours: 07:00 ~ 18:00
📍Address: 1-1 Marunouchi, Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture
3. East Tea House Street
A chaya, referring to the venue used for entertainment and feasting during the Edo period. And Kanazawa is preserving a number of teahouse streets, forming a unique and stunning traditional complex. Kanazawa’s Higashichaya Street, along with Gion, Kyoto, is one of Japan’s three designated important traditional architectural preservation geisha districts and the largest teahouse complex in Kanazawa. Outside the 200-year-old Chaya Street, you will feel the breath of traditional Japanese culture while also marveling at the quality of Japanese cultural conservation and architectural restoration. A little further on, the banks of the Asano River also boast antique pedestrian bridges, perfect for wandering around.
📍Address: Higashiyama, Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture
~Tips: Check-in props are indispensable~
In addition to beautiful clothes, to make the whole composition more natural, be sure to match the right props. In Kanazawa, the ubiquitous tri-color balls or soy sauce balls, the famous gold-foil soft-serve ice cream, are perfect. With soy sauce balls in your hand, you feel like you’re back in the Edo period against the backdrop of Kenrokuen Japanese garden.
