Kegonji Temple, also known as Suzumushi-dera Temple, is a Rinzai sect temple located in Nishikyo Ward, Kyoto City, Tokyo Prefecture it is a temple where you can hear the sound of crickets all year round, hence the name Suzumushi(crickets). The temple breeds over 50,000 crickets, so you can hear the chirping of crickets all year round no matter what season it is. Kegonji Temple was founded in 1723. There is also a Jizo statue of happiness. The only Buddha statue in Japan is wearing straw sandals, which is believed to walk to your house and grant you blessings. It is also famous for its healing powers, finding one's purpose in life, and making dreams come true. The Kegonji Temple grounds are surrounded by a rich natural environment. The area consists of the main hall and many other places and is a temple recommended for both sightseeing and the atmosphere of Kyoto.
