A super detailed guide to Fukuoka Citywalk ✨ How to play on the Spectrum of the Seas disembarkation day
Families, let me share with you a super fulfilling day in Fukuoka after disembarking from Spectrum of the Seas. Here is a super detailed guide, just follow it and you will go no wrong!
🗓️The day before disembarkation (9-11 am):
Go to the main restaurant on the 4th floor to get the self-guided inspection number. Remember to go during this time period, don't miss it~
🚢On the day of disembarkation:
Disembark from the 2nd floor according to the broadcast number. Be sure to bring your room card, passport copy and customs declaration form before departure📄 The declaration form is in the room from the beginning. Fill it out in advance according to the template to make disembarkation smoother.
📍First stop: Kushida Shrine
After exiting the arrival hall, open Gaode Map and walk 3.3km to Kushida Shrine. I walked around the shrine, bought a super cute amulet, and left from the north gate. The atmosphere of the shrine was really great and it was very photogenic.
📍Second stop: Kawabata Commercial Street
Turn left from the north gate and walk to the end to reach Kawabata Commercial Street. I went there early (10:30), and many businesses were not open yet, which was a bit regrettable. You can go a little later.
📍Third stop: Tenjin shopping district
Then follow the Amap map and walk past the main store of Ichiran Ramen. There were so many people lining up that I took a photo and rushed to the next destination.
Walk for about 10 minutes and you will reach the Tenjin shopping district, and you will pass Dazaifu on the way. When we arrived at Tenjin shopping district, we went straight to Parco for lunch. We found a Wagyu rice bowl restaurant on B1. It was so delicious that we fell in love with it at the first bite.
📍Fourth stop: Tower Records
After dinner, I went to Tower Records on the 6th floor to look for albums. I was so lucky that I found Hiroyuki Sawano's Attack on Titan and Slam Dunk albums in the corner🎵 There are also a lot of Kpop albums here, both boy band and girl band. Unfortunately, the single cover of Itzy Yeji that I wanted was sold out. I was so sad.
📍The fifth stop: ACG cereal paradise
The 7th floor is full of ACG cereal, including all the Attack on Titan comics. ACG fans will really go crazy.
📍Sixth stop: Hakata
After visiting Parco, take the subway from Tenjin underground street to Hakata, and take the Nanakuma Line for 2 stops from Tenjin Minami to Hakata Station.
📍Seventh stop: Hankyu
As soon as you get out of Hakata Station, you can see Hankyu and AMU. First, go to Hankyu B1 to buy souvenirs for your family. The strawberry-flavored butter cookies that are only available in Fukuoka taste amazing (Figure 11).
📍Stop 8: Hakata Meipinzo
After leaving Hankyu, I found a store called "Hakata Meipinzo" right below Hakata Station. I bought the Fukuoka specialty mentaiko shrimp cakes. They are super delicious and must be tried.
📍Ninth stop: Ohga Pharmacy
Opposite Hankyu, across the street is Ohga Pharmacy. I bought a lot of cosmetics and medicines. There is also Ichiran Ramen for sale here. The cashier can speak Chinese, and you can get a tax refund on the spot by showing a copy of your passport, which is super convenient.
🚕Finally:
Call a taxi in front of Hakata Station, show the driver the address of the pier (in Chinese, they can understand), and you will be back to the ship smoothly.
This day was really fulfilling. I had a lot of fun shopping and eating. I hope everyone can have a good time in Fukuoka~
