Crescent Tower & Katara Village, Doha
By taking a daily pass with train which only cost 6 riyal, I was able to visit this beautiful places and they are super close to the train station. The Katara village, consist of few interesting places which you must see like amphitheater. All of the attractions are in that area, would suggest for you to stay until evening because the ambience during the evening with those pretty lights giving you a different vibes. Plenty of fancy but affordable restaurants around as well. As for the Crescent Tower, you have to take train until esplanade station and from there you’ll be able to take a good picture with this iconic tower on the background. #2023travelwish #vianasjourney

Katara Cultural Village
Katara Cultural Village in Doha is one of the most popular attractions that is known for its traditional beauty. This self-styled cultural village brings you every fascinating art of Qatar and other regions. Here is a detailed guide to everything you need to know about this culturally inspired village
Raed Alhaji
The building looks impressive but you are not allowed to enter almost anywhere most probably during preparations of the celebration. It is placed far from the center and is better to visit by metro. It is somehow crowded and the golf cars which are free appear to assist only the locals the rest must walk. Near this is one other mall which noone knows where is the katara village and is funny as it is a place as we noticed once again for those that wants to show their wealth.

For foreign tourists, the Katara Cultural Village is a place to appreciate traditional Arabic culture, but it is a place for leisure and entertainment for Doha people, as it brings together many international art, culture and cuisine. The entire complex looks more like a traditional market, combining opera houses, concert halls, museums, galleries, ancient Roman amphitheatre, cinemas, art schools, and cultural and creative markets. It is also home to the Qatar National Art Association, the National Photographers Association, the Children's Cultural Association, the Arab Theatre Union and the Qatar Conservatory of Music, and the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra. A number of major cultural and artistic events in Qatar are held here.
"Katara" is the earliest known name of Qatar. The Katara Cultural Village is an artistic sanctuary with a strong Arab tradition. More traditional Muslim elements make art here like religion and full of sacredness. . The Katara Cultural Village was built by Qatars old King Hamad in order to maximize the traditional cultural and social functions of Qatar and the Arab world, and to make the East and West cultures collide and merge here. Treat any kind of art and cultural habits without prejudice.
Doha's postcard building, pigeon tower, there are many white pigeons on the tower every day, and there are many pigeons flying around the pigeon tower, close to it, there will be a very quiet, ethereal feeling.
Enjoy a walk in the Katara Cultural Village, not only to enjoy the Arabian style, but the key is that the tourists here are rare and enjoyable.

Katara Culture Village, Katara Culture Village, is rich in traditional Muslim elements, giving the building a rich palette of colours, fascinating and sacred. The building's structure, carved window edges and natural light and shadow intertwined, bringing an infinitely rich visual presentation. In the meantime, 360° has no dead ends, all aspects are designed, and the landscape is everywhere. I am happy that the shutter can't stop. I really hope that I can also set it into a beautiful painting.
Compared to the Vachev market, the Katara Cultural Village is more representative of the modern Qatari leisure life. It preserves the traditional culture of Qatar and the Islamic world, and integrates many international art. The architectural complex combines art, music, theater, cinema, cultural creation and cuisine. Many cultural art museums and the Central Opera House have also become a place for citizens and tourists to appreciate art and leisure.
PS Guess what is the black pole on the building in Figure 2?

Doha, Qatar, a mysterious city in a wonderful country...
Explore the Arab world and experience exotic customs. I came to Doha for work. I visited the venues for the 2006 Asian Games built by our compatriots, as well as local cultural landscapes and customs. Here is a travel guide to Doha, Qatar that I have summarized:
- Attractions and prices:
- Museum of Islamic Art: Designed by I. M. Pei, the building itself is a work of art. The museum displays Islamic art from around the world. Admission is free.
- National Museum of Qatar: The unique "desert rose" exterior design and the interior displays of Qatar's history are free to visit.
- The Pearl-Qatar: An artificial island with a Mediterranean-style marina, high-rise residences, villas, hotels, and many shopping venues. It is free to visit, but some activities on the island require an additional fee.
- Corniche: A beautiful 7 km promenade with views of the waterfront and city skyline. Admission is free.
- Souq Waqif: You can buy a variety of Middle Eastern specialty goods and experience the rich Arab customs. Consumption in the market varies from person to person. For example, buying specialty items may cost a few dollars, and tasting local food costs an average of 20-50 dollars.
- Katara Cultural Village: There are museums, mosques, concert halls, etc., with a strong artistic atmosphere. Admission is free.
- Msheireb Museums: White Arabic-style buildings, the museum displays the impact of the oil industry on Qatar's development, etc. Admission is free.
- Hamad International Airport: The airport has characteristic landscapes and rich facilities. If you only visit, there is no charge, but consumption in the airport depends on the specific situation.
- Food and prices:
- Hanok Restaurant: A Korean restaurant in front of the National Museum. A set meal with a staple food, a dish, and a small kimchi is about 150 RMB. Cold noodles and fried chicken are popular.
- Parisian Cuisine: In Souq Waqif, it is a Persian-style restaurant suitable for eating barbecue, and the price is moderate.
- The Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort Afternoon Tea: The environment is beautiful, facing the Arabian Gulf, with a private beach. The price of afternoon tea for two is 395 Qatari riyals (about 800 RMB).
- Kamachi Restaurant: A popular Indian-style restaurant in Katara Cultural Village, the dishes are close to Chinese cuisine, and the per capita consumption depends on the order.
- Chabrat Al Mina Restaurant: A local restaurant with high reviews, about 300 RMB per capita, but reservations are required for many people.
- Precautions:
- Language communication: The official language is Arabic, and English is common, but local residents have a heavy English accent.
- Dress code: Ladies should avoid wearing sleeveless, miniskirts or transparent clothes in public places, and men should avoid wearing vests and shorts; when visiting religious sites, avoid wearing miniskirts or shorts.
- Taboos for taking pictures: Do not take pictures of locals, especially women and children, when taking pictures. If you need to shoot, you should first obtain their consent.
- Religious customs: Respect various regulations and customs of Islam, such as not eating or drinking during the day during Ramadan.
- Consumption and shopping: Qatari currency cannot be exchanged in China, it is recommended to bring dollars to exchange locally.

Qatar | There's more to it than just the World Cup
🌐 The richest country in the world, many people think it's Dubai, but in fact, Qatar is even richer. This tiny nation is the wealthiest in the Middle East💰.
As the first World Cup in history to be held in a Middle Eastern country, the host has spent $220 billion, introducing Qatar to the whole world🌐
🏰 The best season to visit Doha, the capital of Qatar, is from November to March of the following year. During this period, it is cooler and more comfortable, which is also the reason why this World Cup is held in winter for the first time.
👑 Although it is smaller than Beijing, the scenery here is no less impressive.
① Qatar National Museum
Modeled after the 'Desert Rose'🌹, from afar it looks like a rose blooming in the desert. Walking through the museum, you can learn about the ancestors of Qatar and the early formation of cities.
② Katara Cultural Village
🌇 Doha has a series of stunning cultural venues, including museums, galleries, and public art. In Katara Cultural Village, tradition and modernism are powerfully combined.
③ Souq Waqif Traditional Market🏛️
Coming to Qatar, of course, you want to experience the local oldest traditional market, which is also a portrayal of 'One Thousand and One Nights'🏜️. Its labyrinth-like alleys contain all kinds of wonders, such as Middle Eastern goods, traditional music and arts, cultural performances, and unique coffee shops☕.
④ Museum of Islamic Art🖼
At the art museum, you can witness the miracle of the sea view and unique architecture merging into one, and learn about the museum's internationally renowned collections. The MIA Park next to the museum is a great place for family picnics, walks, and outdoor yoga.
⑤ Doha Corniche🛣️
A 7-kilometer long magnificent promenade, overlooking the tranquil waterfront, walking through it is like stepping into the world of tomorrow, especially intoxicating during sunrise and sunset.
⑥ Banana Island🍌
Also known as 'Qatar's Maldives'. Viewed from the sky, the island's semi-curved shape resembles a banana, hence the name.
⑦ Lusail Stadium🏟️
This can be said to be a city specially built for the World Cup. Lusail Stadium is the largest stadium in Qatar and the core venue for the 2022 FIFA World Cup🏆.

Middle East Trip 158
2023.11.20 Qatar Time 16:50, the second stop of the Middle East Trip in Qatar, local guide Dong Zhen took everyone to Katara Village to watch the night view. Qatar Cultural Center, also known as Katara Cultural Village, is a group of buildings proposed by the former Emir (national leader) Hamad of Qatar, located in the northeast of the capital Doha, aiming to promote Qatari culture and promote global cultural integration. The pigeon tower standing at the entrance of the cultural village can be seen from a distance. The pigeons on the tower are swirling and landing in groups, and the pigeons and tourists under the tower live in harmony. Against the backdrop of the blue sky and the sea, it is a picture of nature and peace. In addition, the Katara Grand Mosque, which can be called an architectural masterpiece in the cultural village, always reminds tourists that they have arrived in an Arab country. with WeiboJust go travelExplore Saudi ArabiaTravel

Walk into the Katara Cultural Village and experience the unique Middle Eastern style. The cultural village is a unique Arab building, and the multicolored mosaic tiles are mosque buildings. The National Museum and the History Museum are built here. When I first came to Qatar, I felt that this country is a mixture of openness and conservatism.
!! There are Qatar Opera Houses and Museums, and the Opera House is free to listen to opera. If you want to come, you can watch the performance information in advance
