Karuizawa Marriott Hotel
Karuizawa Marriott Hotel.
Due to my Marriott membership, I was upgraded to a junior suite.
I was expecting to be upgraded to a junior suite, but it was just a large room with a Japanese-style room set.
This hotel has rooms with hot springs, so I was hoping to be upgraded to a room with hot springs (open-air) if I was lucky, but there were no vacancies, which was disappointing.
This is my second time staying here, but I was not upgraded to a room with hot springs both times, so I guess I should have just booked a room with hot springs from the beginning.
There was a large public bath, and since there was no one there at the time, I was able to take a photo. (Actually, I shouldn't have done that, but it was early in the morning and there was no one there, so I hurriedly took a photo first..)
It was winter, so there was snow on the ground, and the open-air bath in the cold season is the best.
Since it's Karuizawa, I think it's better to go by car. It's more convenient to go by car to Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza and Harunire Terrace.
The hotel offers a free shuttle bus, but it goes to and from Karuizawa Station and there are waiting times.
