[2025 Bali Stay] Travel Guide for Kappa Senses Ubud (Updated Apr)

This is one of the most beautiful sunset ever!! Thanks to Kappa senses for the wonderful yoga experience, you can either choose a sunrise yoga or sunset yoga. For us, we tried both and was equally amazing! What’s more wonderful when it’s free!! 😁😁 We had different instructors on both days and I’m so surprised that both the yoga masters are male! They are really so good and flexible, two of them actually have a very different style of yoga, one focus more on the poses and the other actually focuses more on meditation. But I really enjoyed both the sessions! The view here is stunning as well, a very comfortable place for you to do yoga, feels so near to the nature. Can feel the nature and hear the birds crippling while doing the yoga. It’s located at the top flood of the Omtara spa and I’m sure if you’re not staying here, they will have a package for non stayer as well. Enjoy your yoga and stretch! 🧘‍♀️🧘

This is probably the most beautiful room we ever stayed in! We have been seeing this hotel appear alot in Luxury escape with good reviews, this is definitely not the cheapest hotel ever, but it’s quite a good deal with the hotel package. We paid about $1.8K for 5 nights with daily cocktails and dinner/ lunch set meal. Although, the free cocktail options are very limited, not all cocktails are free here. The room is really so nice and spacious, it even have its own private pool with the benches. What I love the most is the toilet! Yes, the toilet! 😂 really love the outdoor bathtub, I soak it everyday throughout my stay! The shampoo and soaps here smell nice too, toothbrush is also very good quality. We were given a basket of welcome fruits when we arrived, it was an interesting experience to eat the snake skin fruits. There’s a nespresso machine here as well, free daily capsule top up! Overall is a very good experience here, will definitely recommend this place!

I’ve never seen such nice plating of food before, I’m always looking forward to their food, not only for the taste but also for the nice presentation! The prettiest platting here goes to the “bonzi” looking salad and the hummus board! All the beautiful colour from the hummus board are organic, freshly blended from their own vegetables from their own farm. How interesting to dip hummus with banana chips and mushroom chips. I also love the steak here, nothing fancy, but just really a good quality piece of meat. I was served wagyu beef when I was here, the fries are perfectly fired and came with mayonnaise and ketchup! The only disappointing dishes here will be the lobster ravioli, it looks and taste like a giant wanton in lobster bisque soup 😅😅 it’s not too bad, but not what I expected haha The prices here are quite reasonable for this standard, would recommend!

I’m so thankful to be able to enjoy this wonderful Balinese massage experience at Omtara spa at kappa senses Ubud. I was advised to use the sauna room before the message for better blood circulation. The staffs here are super friendly, very patience in advising on massage and explaining to me. The design here is very nice, the products they use here also a good and trusted brand. I picked the signature massage and it was good! The therapist here is very experienced and always checked on me when they are doing the massage. The massage room is an open air room, feels so close to the nature. There are two type of massage oil for you to choose as well, I chooses the ginger lemongrass which really helps to relax my body! I would recommend this place!

Always looking forward to my dinner here because the presentation of the food here is awesome! Even their smoothie drinks looks good as well! I ordered this avacado and mango smoothie, it’s so refreshing and creamy, didn’t know avacado and mango can go so well! I also absolutely love the lamb rack, the lamb was so tender and juicy, the sauce is tasty and the presentation is wonderful! Ordered the falafel for my appetiser, I mean just look at those mini cute balls, look so cute and it’s very tasty as well! The ambience of this place is perfect as well, very Bali vibe with the huge chandelier in the middle. This place look so “atas” and comfy, all the staffs here are very friendly as well! Would definitely recommend this place!

We booked a beautiful resort at Kappa senses Ubud and breakfast is one of the thing that I look forward to every morning. There are not many selection of cooked food, but there are a lot of very yummy pastries! The view of this breakfast place is beautiful as well, some days will have live performance at the paddy field!! This place is very good with their sweets as well, all the desserts here are nice and unique, there’s even a chocolate fountain for you to dip your fruits! All the eggs here are freshly cooked upon orders, there’s sunny sides up, omelette, soft boiled eggs and other kind of eggs. There’s also crepe, buckwheat or normal crepe which I like it alot, I almost order it ever morning! I also like their fresh juice section where you can squeeze your fav juices with your own choice, all are fresh pressed juices! I’m very impressed with this place and would recommend! 👍

I was happy to have a delicious breakfast in the morning while looking out at the rice terraces☺️I liked the fresh juices and made-to-order crepes that I could make myself🍴💞 I was also pleased that I could participate in a yoga class for free, experience the poolside swing, and the photographer took a free photo💖

Kappa Senses Ubud is a French-style resort, simple wooden style, actually a little Japanese feeling, will not have too much luxury design, hope to blend into the nature of Bali Pool photos are super beautiful, it is recommended to enjoy a cup of cocktail near sunset! #globaltravel

I personally think it is not inferior to five-star hotels such as Four Seasons Ubud and Ritz, and the price is very affordable. 🏡Room type: Various villa options, recommended villas with private pools and rice field views, the scenery is super beautiful. 🔎Facilities: The hotel is very large, with two forest pools🏊🏽, SPA💆🏽‍♀️ (Clarins brand products), yoga🧘🏽 (free classes available), 24-hour gym, hydrotherapy🩵, bar🎸, 3 restaurants🍽️ (breakfast + two lunch and dinner) with beautiful rice field sunset views. It is also fun for kids because there is a small farm in the area: vegetables🍅 and fruits🍌 are grown here, and there are also piglets🐖, chicks🐓, bunnies🐰, etc. The hotel provides free round-trip transportation to Ubud (every two hours from 9:00-17:00). ☀️Overall: The experience is very good, the room smells good, free fruit and mineral water are provided every day, I sleep well at night, and I can hear the rooster crowing in the morning. Kappa Senses Ubud is a hotel surrounded by rice terraces and forests in a quiet area just outside the center of Ubud. The room is a villa type, and this time it was a room with a pool. We also had in-room dining on the terrace! Breakfast is served at a restaurant with a view of the rice terraces! There are many dishes, and you can make fresh juice and enjoy it ☺️ There are a main pool and a jungle pool. There are not many people, so you can relax! Various events are scheduled every day, such as yoga, visiting nearby houses, feeding animals, and massages! You can relax and enjoy yourself just inside the hotel! The yoga studio and terrace are also wonderful, and you can enjoy yoga while looking at the beautiful scenery. The spa is Clarins Spa. #hotelwithbathtub Kappa senses at Ubud is truly one of the prettiest hotel that I’ve stayed in, it’s so close to nature and the room is phenomenal! We booked a room with private pool and bathtub through luxury escape, I would say it’s pretty worth it given that dinner is included! The room is so Bali vibe and huge! What I love the most about this room is the toilet ( strangely 😂) I think the toilet is larger than my room, the bathtub is huge and it’s enough to fit 2 people, bath salt is provided and their shower gel smells so good! The outdoor rain shower was fun, it's so close to nature. However, it can get a bot cold if you're showering at night. The bed is very comfortable here, the staff will make your bed for you ( put down the veil) at about 6pm because there are mosquitos at night. Overall I love this hotel so much, it's a great getaway from a busy city. Oh one more bonus point! There are free yoga classes here as well, it was so fun and nice to do yoga surrounded by nature!

Overall, it offers great value for money; among the many hotels in Bali that can easily cost tens of thousands, this hotel only requires about 2800 per night for a pool room. The hotel opened in 2022, and the facilities are relatively new, with private pools in the rooms and a public pool available. The hotel is surrounded by farmland, and the breakfast restaurant is right next to the fields, which is quite a unique flavor. The hotel's greenery is very lush and diverse, making for great photo opportunities. The Spa is in a semi-outdoor bamboo building, and when booking, we were offered 2 60-minute essential oil massages. The Spa center also offers facial treatments, with products from Clarins. The room rate includes breakfast and a 3-course dinner; items in the mini bar are charged. But overall, I still feel that the value for money is really good. -

This is one of the pool at Kappa Senses, the jungle pool! There’s a cute bar here named Lianas bar. I really love this Jungle pool because it really makes you feel like you’re in a jungle, even the design of the bar fits this theme so well! The bartender at the bar is very friendly, we ordered a lychee margarita which was really nice and refreshing and a Bali cocktails here. The bartender here is very chatty, very patient in introducing the ingredients of the cocktails and also let us try the cocktail before serving us There is a long lazy river here, how I wish if they have some floats here as well, it would be perfect! There’s also a mini waterfall here and a children pool for you to swimming, but not so much for a proper swimming pool. Would highly recommend you to come here to try if you’re around!
