Kaohsiung Zhan Er Mu Ju: Experience the Harbor View of a Historical Warehouse
Today I would like to introduce to you a hotel located in Gushan District, Kaohsiung City, that is Zhan Er Mu Ju. This hostel is a harbor view hostel converted from a historical warehouse. Combined with MUJI's space transformation project, it creates a simple and comfortable accommodation environment where people can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Kaohsiung Port and a leisurely time in the port city. When I stayed here, I experienced their signature sea view rooms, communal kitchen and lounge area, let me share with you how great they are!
The location of Zhan Er Mu Ju is very convenient, just a 5-minute walk from Exit 2 of Xiziwan MRT Station. As soon as you arrive at the store entrance, you will see a century-old warehouse building that retains the original brick walls, swing windows and Rebar steel roof frames, showing the unique charm of the old building. The decoration of the store is very fashionable, and the walls are covered with signatures of artists, proving how popular this place is. The staff was very friendly and took the initiative to introduce us to the facilities of the hotel and the surrounding attractions.
Zhan Er Mu Ju has a wide variety of room types, including various sea view rooms and community rooms, all of which are very distinctive rooms that will dazzle your eyes. We chose a double room with sea view. The room was not big, but very clean and comfortable. It provided comfortable beds, independent air conditioning and induction door locks, allowing us to stay with peace of mind. The biggest highlight of the room is the sea view outside the window. You can see Cijin, Kaohsiung lighthouse and ships coming and going in the distance. You can also see the sunrise in the morning and the night view in the evening. There are different beautiful scenery at every moment, which makes us linger.
The facilities at Zhan Er Mu Ju are also very complete. There is a public kitchen that provides a simple microwave, oven, tableware, etc., which allows us to cook simple meals. There is also a common lounge area in the hostel with a big-screen TV and some books where we can relax. There is also a mini market outside the hotel with some snacks and drinks that can be purchased from vending machines, which is very convenient.
The area around Zhan Er Mu Ju is also very interesting, with many cultural and creative, exhibition and food places, allowing us to experience the port culture of Kaohsiung. We went to the Dagang Warehouse, Dagang Bridge, Hamasing Railway Cultural Park, Pier-2 Art Center and Hung Maogang Cultural Park, all of which are very distinctive attractions. You can see the history and modern style of Kaohsiung, appreciate various works of art, and taste the local food of Kaohsiung, which is a feast for our eyes and taste buds.
In short, Zhan Er Mu Ju is an inn worth a try. Its sea view rooms and historical warehouses are very distinctive and unforgettable. If you also want to experience a trip to a port city where history and modernity coexist, you might as well stay at Zhan Er Mu Ju. I promise you will not be disappointed!
