Hanxia Stream is a valley located in Shodoshima, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. It is about 7km wide from east to west and 4km long from north to south. It is recorded in the Japanese Book of Records. Formerly known as Mt. Gokaku and Mt. Shenxuan, the Confucian scholar Fujisawa Nanyue in the early Meiji period named it Hanxia Stream. On March 7, the 12th year of Taisho (1923), "Shenxuan Mountain (Hanxia Stream)" was designated as a national scenic spot, and was included in the Seto Inland Sea National Park, and it is famous as a representative landscape in the park. It is one of the three wonders of Japan. Kanxia Stream, Yaba Stream in Oita and Mt. Myogi in Gunma Prefecture are known as the three most beautiful valleys in Japan. The valleys formed by volcanic activity have been eroded for a long time, forming magnificent landscapes such as giant rocks, cliffs, and continuous peaks. The fresh greenery in spring, the red leaves in autumn, and the view of the valley are very beautiful, making it a very popular spot. In addition, when riding the Hanxiaxi cableway connecting the foot of the mountain and the top of the mountain, the vertical rock wall oncoming is shocking.
