Kawaguchiko Day Tour
#MarchDestinations2025 #Japan #Kawaguchiko
Depart from Yokohama early in the morning, book a bus in advance from the west exit of Yokohama Station to Kawaguchiko, the journey takes about two hours. After getting off at Kawaguchiko Station, take the red line sightseeing bus to the ninth cable car station to take the cable car to Tenjoyama Park, and buy a cable car and cruise ship package. After going down the mountain, take the Tensei cruise ship, which takes about 20 minutes to cruise around the lake, and you can see Mount Fuji all the way! After the event, we went to the Apple Pie Lab across the street to have a break and eat an apple pie and a cup of coffee. There is also a famous Fuji biscuit shop under the cable car station, which sells biscuits in the shape of Mount Fuji. It was past 11 o'clock that day and the single-packaged biscuits were gone, but there was still a box of five biscuits, which cost about NT$50 per biscuit.
Next, continue to take the red line tour bus to the last stop, Oishi Park Station. This is also a very beautiful park where you can see Mount Fuji, and admission is free. There are also many shops in the park selling snacks. There are different flowers in different seasons, but there are no flowers if you go there in mid-March. However, it is still quite beautiful! !
I originally wanted to go to the Kawaguchiko Music Museum next, but I gave up as it seemed like I would run out of time so I took the bus back to Kawaguchiko Station and took the Fujikyuko Line train to Shimoyoshida Station and headed to Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine. It took about 20 minutes to walk from getting off the train to Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine, and I had to climb a lot of stairs which was really tiring! ! But once you step onto the Zhanwangtai, you’ll feel that everything is worth it! !
Next, we went to the popular check-in spot, Fuji Yoshida Nostalgic Shopping Street, where there were really a lot of people! ! You have to pay attention to traffic safety, otherwise it is really dangerous to take pictures at the intersection. You can also walk a little further and there will be many intersections where you can take pictures. I walked all the way to Fujisan Station. I could see Mount Fuji along the way, and finally I walked to the Golden Torii, which took about 20 minutes. You can also take pictures of the beauty of Mount Fuji at the Golden Torii, and there are fewer people here. Finally, I took the bus back to Kawaguchiko Station, ate a bowl of ほうとう (㦎饦), and there was still some time, so I went to Fuji Cafe CUP'S for afternoon tea and waited for the bus back to Yokohama.
