At the top, you'll find a snowy mountain during winter, and in cherry blossom season, the area is lined with cherry trees. To get there from Fukuoka, take a train from Hakata Station to Beppu Station, then take a bus from the station to Beppu Ropeway. The bus ride takes about an hour round trip.
