How to Get to Kamado Jigoku, Beppu's Hidden Gem
Kamado Jigoku is approximately 5.5 km from Beppu Station, and you can easily reach it by public transportation. From Beppu Station, take either bus number 2 or 5 of the Beppu city bus service, and after about a 20-minute ride, you will arrive at the 'Kamegawa' stop near Kamado Jigoku. From there, it's about a 5-minute walk to Kamado Jigoku. If you opt for a taxi, the journey takes around 15 minutes and costs approximately 1,500 to 2,000 yen.
Upon arriving at Kamado Jigoku, you'll be greeted by unique geothermal landscapes that showcase the power of nature. Boiling hot spring water, steaming vents, and colorful pools create an otherworldly atmosphere. The blue hot spring shrouded in steam is particularly impressive, and don't miss the experience of tasting hot spring eggs cooked using the steam. Overall, it's a place where you can feel the wonders of nature and enjoy the unique scenery along with Japan's traditional hot spring culture.
Kamado Jigoku is one of the eight 'hell' hot springs located in Beppu, Oita Prefecture, and its history is as deep as the Beppu hot spring area itself. The name 'Kamado' originates from the cauldrons used for cooking in this area, where food was traditionally steamed using geothermal heat. This region, with its active geothermal activity, naturally produces high-temperature water and steam, and it has been developed as a hot spring tourist destination for about 1,200 years. Today, it stands as one of Beppu's representative tourist spots, offering a special place to experience the amazing landscapes created by nature.

Kamado Jigoku Onsen
Kamado Jigoku Onsen is a perfect tourist destination for family trips. It's a convenient place to visit with elderly family members, making it ideal for family enjoyment. You can watch the boiling hell hot springs up close with various performances, and the scenery created by the steam from the 95-degree hot spring water is truly beautiful. It's a wonderful place that offers a unique experience along with the grandeur of hot springs in nature. I highly recommend it as you can feel the mystery of the hot springs and the traditional Japanese onsen culture at the same time.

A magical and mysterious hot spring experience, Cauldron Hell
🏠Cauldron Hell
🚩621 Kannawa, Beppu, Oita 874-0840
☑ Open daily 8:00~17:00
📝Cauldron Hell is small in size but has many concepts and is the most interesting of the 5 major hells
📝You can drink hot spring water and there is a space where you can bathe your feet. Towels are provided for free.
📝It was impressive and amazing to see hot steam rising from places like sewers everywhere I passed by.
📝I bought hot spring eggs and strangely shaped bottled carbonated drinks as snacks, and the hot spring eggs were more delicious than I thought. I recommend you try both.

Hell, the translation is called the stove hell. It is said that since the ancient times, when the Sagittarius Palace was used to cook the hot springs, it was named Hell. There is a huge model of the ancient rice cooker at the entrance of the
, which marks the characteristics of the place. It is also the most interesting hell in the eight hells. The stove hell is different from other hells in that it is a single hot spring form. The color and texture of each pool are different here, and they are distributed according to 1-6 chome. There is also the lake blue hell of the sea hell. Looking at it is beautiful, but it is extremely dangerous. The temperature on the thermometer shows more than 100 degrees Celsius.
There is also a pool of bright orange red, which is more red than the blood pool hell. The tour guide of the Korean tour group took the cigarette butt here to test.
Each time he blows a cigarette near the hot spring, a strong gas rises from the hot spring, and the particles of the smoke can make the surrounding water appear.
Only underwater high temperatures can produce this chemical change, which is the same as the cloud principle. The small garden at
entrance is especially easy to miss, we found a very interesting painted cat stone.
When you buy a gold foil ice cream on the pedestrian street, you can take a strong milky fragrance and walk to the bus stop.

Sophie's Kyushu, Japan, Beppu Hot Springs, a stove, Hell Hot Springs, hh/
Japan's "Fenghou Fengtuji" records that the iron wheel and the Kamekawa area of Beppu, Oita Prefecture, Kyushu have long ago had geothermal resources. , will continue to spray hot air, hot mud, hot water and so on.
7 springs, respectively: Hai Hell, Ghost Stone Square Lord Hell, Kitchen Hell, Ghost Mountain Hell, White Pool Hell, Blood Pool Hell (Blood Pool Hell), Dragon Scroll Hell. You can buy a package of 2,000 yen for all visits. If the single purchase is 400 yen, in other words, if you look at 5 or more, you can buy a package. But I summed up the seven Hell Hot Springs, and I think the most worthwhile is Hai Hell and Kitchen Hell.
This time is the stove hell, the door can be covered with two medals, you can smell the thick smell of sulfur rotten eggs before entering, it is interesting to watch 5 different types of high temperature hell hot spring pool (Can only see can not bubble, 100 degrees of high temperature hot spring water), there are 80 degrees of hot spring water for visitors to try, hand and foot surface hot spring steam experience, as well as foot soup foot bath hot springs can enjoy, hot spring food steamed eggs, corn Tastes such as buns are interesting and varied. It is much more interesting to watch a big Hell Hot Spring pool than the other 400 yen tickets.
