Although it takes 1.5 hours to get there from the airport, the feeling of staying here is just one word: "Awesome". I didn't want to check out! JW Marriott is a standard island resort center in scale. First of all, it covers a large area and has a wealth of facilities and activities, including a large swimming pool, a water play area, a gym, ball games, a yoga studio, a night cinema, bicycles... and so on. You can really stay in the hotel and chill all day long. To be honest, the resort hotels in Phuket have good value for money and are not expensive even for weekend stays. The room originally booked was a 55-square-meter deluxe king room with pool view, which only cost 5,000 Thai baht including breakfast. Fortunately, I was unexpectedly upgraded to a 95-square-meter suite priced at 10,000 Thai Baht, which was really great! The resort center has a variety of restaurants, serving cuisine from all over the world, and there are fire dance performances on the beach at night, which is quite exciting. JW marriott Khao Lak Resort is the ultimate winner when it comes to being a resort with the most family friendly activities. There's always something for both adults and kids to do, engage and have fun in. These activities are available everyday and most of them are complimentary as long as you're a hotel guest. Families with kids can learn how to make their own cotton candy and also make ice lollies in a traditional spinning wheel. After the hard work, you get to consume your food. In the noon, there's even a coconut boat that goes around the resort selling coconuts and you can buy them fresh off the boat. How cool! A JW garden is on site where one can learn and harvest the fresh produce growing within the garden, talk about sustainable vegetation. For the sports enthusiasts, there are sports event such as floating yoga, muay Thai, hiking, biking, etc, where you can pick up a new sport. At the games room section, there's billard table, hockey table, table tennis, foosball table, etc where you can let loose and have fun. The resort is surrounded by a long swimming pool and you can have a relaxing dip or swim in it. People were queueing for Thai pancakes served with caramelized bananas and scoops of ice cream and fresh fruits. What makes me happy in the morning? A good sumptuous breakfast with an amazing beach view! At JW marriott khao lak, my family and I exactly had that. We went early for breakfast and chose the table with a stunning beach view. It was a luxury enjoying the food and having to look out at the blue skies and waves. I got to say the spread at Jw Marriott khao lak was the best! From fresh salads to cheese to a juice bar and fruit bars, they have it all. There are live stations not just serving simple egg omelete and sunny side ups but there's also eggs Benedict, Florentin and fritata. If you're looking for variety, there's even American breakfast to local Thai delights and Asian food which serves both Chinese dim sum and Indian food. Drinks wise, I love their local Thai milk tea aka cha yen but of course you can choose your usual coffee and tea as well. It's no wonder why it's always so busy during breakfast at JW marriott Khao Lak because it's simply the best and food standards/quality is amazingly good! #tripblazers

Stay at JW Marriott Khao Lak and I guarantee you a unique stay experience. Do you know that there's an actual shark sanctuary in the resort? Well, it's true and my family and I got to visit these precious bamboo sharks that JW marriott khao lak and Oceans For All Foundation are putting tremendous efforts in protecting these sea creatures. The bamboo shark sanctuary is only opened to hotel guests and we learnt a great deal about the bamboo sharks and why and how we could do our part in caring for the ocean and all its life within it. Other than that, we get to learn about their breeding program. We saw live sharks and their eggs and how they are being released back into the ocean. We also got to feed some baby sharks and it was a precious and amazing experience for everyone who attended their session at the sanctuary. The bamboo shark sanctuary is a must go, If you're staying at jw marriott khao lak. I would highly recommend it.

#beachaholic Who doesnt love the sun, sand and sea? I, for sure, love a beautiful beach getaway and I need my daily dose of vitamin D from the sun. My kids love frolicking in the waters and building sandcastles by the beach. That's the reason why we booked a vacation with JW marriott Khao Lak. This hotel has got 1 of the most gorgeous private beach, that's only usable for hotel guests and their different pools were just amazing - perfect for families with kids. Let's talk about their beach, it was clean, sand was fine and it wasn't as crowded. There were hammocks to lie down and towels provided for guests, who had a splashing good time at the beach. I had fun getting a fabulous tan and watching the beautiful sunset by the beach, lots of instagrammable moments for us. In the evenings, there's even a campfire set up by the beach for all guests to have yummy roasted marshmallows. The pools at JW marriott were the best. It was awesome that they had a wave pool, a huge pool slide, a pool trampoline and the whole property is surrounded by a long 2-3km pool where you can just laze and swim around the whole hotel. How cool is that? The kids simply love the beach and pools at Jw Marriott khao lak. If you just want to relax at a jacuzzi, there's one too for use. If you're a beach loving family like mine, then do consider JW marriott khao lak. I guarantee you a jolly good time there.

It was my wedding anniversary and we decided to book their spacious king bed room with sofa bed. The room was perfect for my family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 kids. It was definitely big and comes with a balcony that oversees the whole place and the hotel's pool. My kids had fun soaking in the room's bathtub. For pillows, you could even choose to have a soft or firm pillow from their pillow menu. The bed was huge and so comfortable. It was very clean too. I love that our stay was made special with lovely decorations for our anniversary and a yummy chocolate cake was given to us too. During check in, guests were all given a cold roselle tea, made with roselle flowers that were freshly picked from the hotel's garden. I also loved the small special gestures like how my kids were also given some activity books and stickers, while we were waiting for our room to be ready. Service at Jw marriott khao lak was top notch and we were constantly greeted by every staff that we walked past. Thailand is truly a land of smiles and we love it so much at Jw marriott khao lak.
