Since it’s not as crowded as other national parks, I felt like I had the trails almost to myself, making for a peaceful and immersive nature experience. If you’re looking for a national park that’s off the beaten path but incredibly beautiful, Juwangsan is a fantastic choice!"

Juwangsan Juwangsan is both a national park and a UNESCO Global Geopark. It is recommended to visit by car or group tour bus rather than public transportation. The most famous sight here is the bizarre rock formations viewed from Daejeonsa Temple at the entrance of the mountain. From Daejeonsa, you can walk along the valley path for about 30 minutes to reach a waterfall, which is an easy and pleasant hiking course. Additionally, there is a beautiful artificial pond called Jusanji, created during the Joseon Dynasty, nearby.

It's really cool in the summer and colorful and beautiful in the fall 😭 The scenery is amazing! Key Point: It's about 730m in altitude, so I think it would be good to look up the course carefully and choose the right path! #fallingseason I visited Juwangsan National Park for autumn foliage sights last weekend and was blown away by the views there. Besides golden ginkgos and fiery maple leafs, the high, narrow cliffs that you pass through and numerous waterfalls made it an especially memorable trip. i regret not going there before! I started by Daejeonsa Temple, with it's colourful foliage towering over tile-topped Korean walls, before taking the main trekking path (3km) towards the stunning Yongyeon Waterfall. I ended the afternoon sipping a coffee and enjoying the foliage views in a cosy cafe that had metal cups... which was weird but not bad, haha. Unfortunately, Juwangsan is really far from Daejeon and even further from Seoul, so it's not easy to get to. But it was certainly worth the 3 hour coach ride to visit on the peak autumn foliage day.
