Top of Europe 🗺️

Visiting Jungfraujoch, the “Top of Europe,” was an absolute highlight of my trip to Switzerland! 🏔️🚞 Located high up in the Swiss Alps, reaching this stunning spot was an adventure in itself. I took the scenic train ride from Interlaken, which cost around 210 CHF, but the breathtaking views along the way made it worth every cent. As we climbed higher, the landscape transformed from lush green meadows to snow-covered peaks. Stepping out at 3,454 meters above sea level was like entering a winter wonderland! ❄️🌨️
The Ice Palace was my first stop, where I walked through tunnels carved entirely out of ice, featuring beautiful ice sculptures that shimmered under the lights. Then I made my way to the Sphinx Observatory. The panoramic views from there were absolutely mind-blowing—you could see Aletsch Glacier stretching far into the distance and the peaks of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains. 🌄🗻 It felt like being on top of the world! And don’t forget to visit the “Alpine Sensation” exhibit; it gives a fascinating insight into the history of the Jungfrau Railway and the construction of this high-altitude marvel.
Afterward, I grabbed lunch at the restaurant on-site, enjoying a hot chocolate with a view of the mountains. 🌭☕ And before heading back down, I couldn’t resist stepping out onto the snow to take some photos. It was chilly, but the fresh mountain air was invigorating. If you're looking for an unforgettable experience in Switzerland, make sure to put Jungfraujoch on your list. #trip #Jungfraujoch #TopOfEurope #SwissAlps #MountainViews #BucketListAdventure

Visit the top of Europe!
Snow is summer? Why not?
While a lot of places are suffering from extreme heat, opt to visit Jungfraujoch - the highest mountain peak in Europe. It is easily reachable from Zurich, Interlaken or Luzern. You can visit it as a part of the tour group or organize everything yourself. I chose to go with Best of Switzerland tours and not to worry about the tickets. We left Luzern around 9am and came back around 6 pm.
Jungfraujoch offers magical views on the snowy peaks and glacier.
There are plenty of things to do: shopping, Zipline, restaurants, ice cave. You can also enjoy a glass of prosecco or hot chocolate while sunbathing on the chair at the outside cafe.
Don't hesitate and try something different this summer!

The train ride to the Top of Europe is a scenic one and quite an unforgettable experience, right from Interlaken OST to Wengen/ Grindelwald to Kleine Scheidegg and finally to Jungfraujoch. The rail tickets though are very highly priced. Even though it is a really expensive amount to get here, I am really happy with the amount of money we spent because it was such a great fun day and it was totally worth it.

The Jungfrau is a famous mountain in Switzerland and is part of the Alps. Its name comes from the small town at the foot of the Jungfrau, the former convent of Interlaken. At 4158 meters above sea level, it is like a young girl, wrapped in silver and standing quietly between the white clouds. In fact, in addition to the Jungfrau, there are two other peaks standing side by side with her, Eiger (3,970 meters) and monks (4099 meters).
In addition to the magnificent scenery to watch, the Jungfrau Mountain Railway, which transports tourists up and down the mountain, is an engineering miracle of mankind in the early 20th century. In fact, the Jungfrau is not the highest mountain in Europe. It is called the top of Europe because it is the highest railway in the world.
There are different routes for mountaineering railways. Visitors can go up and down the mountain and feel the Qifeng Mountain from side to side. From different heights, the scenery changes like a different season, from flowers to ice and snow, but More than forty minutes. Sometimes even the windows are completely different from each other. Of course, walking through the green fields and snow peaks, the retro-colored mountain train is also a charming sight.
Free travellers generally depart from Interlaken, which consists of a three-story connection. The
Jungfrau lower railway is a blue-yellow carriage, referred to as BOB
Jungfrau mid-level railway is a yellow-green carriage, referred to as WAB)
Jungfrau upper-level railway is a red carriage, referred to as JB
subordinate to multiple companies Need to transfer 2 times.

Taking a sightseeing train up the mountain is a must-see ride to Jungfrau. The maximum slope of the railway is 25%. It was designed by Swiss railway engineer Adolf Guyer Zeller. It started in 1896 and lasted for 16 years before it was opened in 1912. About three-quarters of the roads are passed through the rock walls of the tunnel under the glaciers, and the project is very difficult. Crossing the Jungfrau Mt. Jungfrau Railway, 1.0 m gauge, the maximum slope of the toothed section is 250 , and the Jungfrau Mt. is 3,453 m, the highest point of the European railway.
Take a sightseeing train up the mountain, the altitude is getting higher and the scenery is getting better.
The train parked in the tunnel. There are two stations in the middle, one is Eigerwand, and the other is Eismeer, which is 3160 meters above sea level. Both stations will stay for about five minutes. In the short parking time, you can touch the bare rock wall of the tunnel and experience The hardships of this project. There is a large glass viewing window inside the station, which is the widest view of the Eiger glaciers and the most amazing ice sea landscape. The
Spenix viewing platform is 3,571 meters above sea level, which houses the fastest lift in Switzerland (110m vertical height, 25 seconds), and is the most amazing of the 360-degree view of the Alps. Panorama: The most common glaciers in the Alps, 23.6 km long, covering an area of 117 square kilometers of the magnificent Alaiqi Glacier.

From Lauterbrunnen to Jungfrau, take a two-hour mountain train, take a train from the small town in the foothills and slowly crawl to the top of the mountain. The scenery outside the window slowly turns from a green oil to a snowy, train At Kleine Scheidegg, you will change to the red gear train unique to Jungfrau and continue to the Jungfrau at high altitude.
In the Kleine ScheideggJungfraujoch section, the train passes through a tunnel cut in the Jungfrau rock. During the journey, the train will stop at the two viewpoints of Eigerwang and Eismeer for about 5 minutes, and you can get off and watch the spectacular glaciers at close range.

I have always been the country I want to go to, but I am too lazy to be a free-know strategy in Europe. The Viking Cruises is the most comfortable way to travel to Europe and become the biggest advantage. I chose the Rhine 11 A romantic day trip from the Rhine to the Netherlands -German -French -Swiss , are the most suitable and most classic city tours in Europe, and the scenery is getting more and more The best thing that I can't forget is the Swiss Jungfrau
on the top of Europe. The Jungfrau Railway is made up of these three segments. The lower railway (BOB) is blue-yellow, the middle railway (WAB) is green and yellow, and the upper railway (JB) is red. Our bus takes us directly to the starting point of the middle railway and packs the entire carriage for us. Each person will send a Jungfrau travel passport with a classic view and free travel route. The last page can be kept on the top of the Jungfrau summit with the seal of the day. It is very memorable
The train starts. The world's only gear train, although with the noise of gear friction, my ears have been selectively deaf for the beauty of the window, the glass inside the compartment can be lowered, convenient for passengers to take pictures, the scenery outside the window is also in the green mountains and The neat field changes back and forth, the small trains increase the driving force, crawl on the ridge, and the Jungfrau surrounded by the snowy mountains and valleys
