Strolling around Ikaho Onsen - Experience the old-school romance of Ishidan Street

#Ikaho
As soon as you get off the bus, you will see Ikaho's most famous "Ishidan Street" in front of you.
There are 365 stone steps. Although I feel a little breathless when I hear "365 steps", it is actually not tiring to walk and stroll around because there are cute shops on both sides:
• Hot brown sugar hot spring buns, eat them while walking
• A Showa-style sundry shop selling retro toys and snacks
• Hot spring eggs, senbei, local handmade products... I stopped many times without realizing it
The whole street has an atmosphere that can only be seen in old Showa movies. It makes people walk slowly and look slowly, which is very chill.

🍁Must-see in autumn: Kawajika Bridge red leaves
It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the Kajika Bridge from the hotel.
If you come here in autumn, it's like walking into a movie set.
A whole field of red maple leaves surrounds the red wooden bridge, it is so beautiful that it is speechless.
Unfortunately, I came too late, and the maple leaves were almost all gone.
This trip to Ikaho didn't have too many itineraries, nor did we have to rush to the attractions.
But it is this "slow" approach that is most comfortable.
Taking a bath, eating some snacks, walking along the stone streets, visiting the shrine, and looking at the red leaves, the whole day passed like this, but I felt so satisfied.
If you also want to escape from the city, you might as well arrange a two-day and one-night visit to Ikaho. You will really fall in love with this place.
