#naturalwonders The journey to Goa Jomblang to see the Light of Heaven is a trip that is worth making. On location it would be prudent to be sufficiently prepared, as the cave system is pretty muddy with small sinkhole of 50cm and pitch darkness. The wellingtons provided typically provides sufficent protection for adults, however sizes are limited. It is recommended not to bring too much stuff and to wear clothes that you are willing to toss away should it get muddy. A small bag to keep your camera and phones and flashlight is highly recommended.

Getting There - Jogja, one of my bucket list . Wanted to do this before Covid And due to Covid , I have waited three years . Once travel reopen to Indonesia , I planned my three weeks long trip to Indonesia to clear some of my bucket list . Attractions - amazing experience, once in a life time experience. so exciting. Went down to the cave by ropes and 20 peoples to pull you up . Hotels - lots of affordable hotel to choose from . I stay in youth hostel and around 15 SGD per night with clean room . Food & Restaurants - lots of food to choose from. Foods are cheap and affordable . Shopping - Plenty of traditional things to choose from . Amazing people around , very cheap .

Location - About 1.5 hours drive east of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Getting There - 2 ways of doing it; either hiring a personal driver or joining a tour. If you’re a solo traveler, this may be a little pricey for hiring a private driver but if sharing with multiple people, it can be a cheap option. It's a vertical cave located in Mount Kidul, Yogyakarta. This cave formed due to an geological process of soil's geology and vegetation to the grounds of the earth until it formed synchoes. "Light of Heaven", shining a Flowstone in the depths of a pitch-dark cave. I've never done any trekking in my life and this, being the first time ever, has given me a thrilling and fun experience! Not to mention I was screaming in fear when I was being pulled 60m down the cliff! But the scenery is priceless, you get to hear the nature and see the greenery at a bird's eye view! The cave is about 2 hours drive from downtown Yogyakarta. The expedition is only one hour a day. Because the sun will only come in at around 11 noon. You must first make a 60-meter downhill, reach a hole, put on a pair of shoes, and then hit a flashlight into a black lacquered hole to see the light. At first we thought it was a waterfall. When we came closer, we found out that it was a beam of light! It is the legendary Tyndall phenomenon! Amazing!
