Jixi Museum is a comprehensive geographical museum. The exhibition hall area is 3011.93 square meters. It is a national second-level museum. It has two basic exhibitions, two temporary exhibition areas and a public service area. The basic display on the first floor - "A Glimpse of Ten Thousand Years - Exhibition of Ancient Historical Relics in Jixi" consists of eight parts. The four parts, "Echoes of Ten Thousand Years", "The Footsteps of Civilization", "Yearning for Bronze", and "North of North Woju", sort out the historical development of Jixi from the Paleolithic Age 10,000 years ago to the Yiluo and North Woju periods about 2,000 years ago. The last four parts, "Bohai Dongping Prefecture", "Liao, Jin and Dongxia", "Wasteland of Yuan and Ming", and "Wall of the Qing Dynasty", show the development history of Jixi from the Tang Bohai period when Jixi was first included in the political territory to the first half of the 19th century. The exhibition hall covers an area of 1,000 square meters, and brings a different visiting experience to the audience through a large number of physical exhibits and immersive digital exhibition methods. The basic exhibition on the second floor - "Black Soil Song - Jixi Modern History Exhibition" is divided into seven parts: Hard Work, Initial Establishment of the Territory, Rising Land, Dawn in the East, National Hatred and Family Feud, Mainstay and Glorious Years. The exhibition hall covers an area of 1,100 square meters. It uses a large number of historical documents, materials, photos, and physical objects combined with digital display methods to showcase the Jixi people's hard work, the spirit of pioneering and developing the Great Northern Wilderness, the tenacious struggle against foreign aggression, and the great contribution they made to the liberation of the whole country.
