Tianjin! Tianjin! A visit to Tianjin!
📮Bring a curious heart and eyes that discover beauty, and embark on a pleasant journey! As long as you want, 'travel' begins the moment you step out of your home!
🚄Transportation:
Shanghai Hongqiao High-Speed Rail🚄➡️Tianjin South🔄Metro Line 3➡️Tianjin
🏨Accommodation:
Since I was with my two little nieces, I chose to stay near the Century Clock. Next to it is Tianjin Station, and across the bridge is Jinwan Plaza, where there is a metro station, making travel very convenient.
🗓️Itinerary:
Day 1:
Shanghai Hongqiao High-Speed Rail🚄➡️Tianjin South🔄Metro🚇Line 3🔄Metro🚇Line 6➡️Tianjin West Station➡️Baiyangdian Railway Station to pick up my two little nieces➡️Taxi🚗to the hotel🏨
After checking into the hotel, we crossed the crowded Liberation Bridge to have dinner at the Youth Hotel opposite. Since it was the Qixi Festival, the crowd was enormous, and we had to wait a long time for dinner. After eating and drinking, it was almost 9 PM, so I took the two little ones through the crowd. We didn't go to the Tianjin Eye as planned because it was too crowded and scary. Finally, after buying some desired gifts for the two in the crowd, we returned to the hotel and ended the day's trip.
Day 2:
Got up around 8 AM, had breakfast at the hotel, and took Metro Line 3 for one stop to Heping Road. We took a look at the outside of the Porcelain House, which was also crowded. We spent a full hour playing with stamps at the post office opposite, then walked to Minyuan Plaza. After buying some small gifts there, we hurried back to the hotel to check out and caught the 1:30 PM train to go home!
🌈✍️Travel Reflections📝
1️⃣This trip was a bit rushed, and we didn't fully appreciate its uniqueness.
2️⃣I noticed many long benches on the roadside for people to rest, which is very nice.
3️⃣My little niece said Tianjin is a happy city! Recording her positive evaluation.
4️⃣The Century Clock was under maintenance, so we didn't see it, which is a bit regrettable.
‼️Tips: Preparations before going out
✅Check the map for travel routes, especially the first and last train times.
✅Check business hours and whether reservations are needed to avoid wasted trips.
✅When going out, always remember ♥️safety first♥️

Strolling and Eating in Tianjin
A day of strolling and eating in Tianjin begins.
Early in the morning at seven, I took a high-speed train from Taiyuan and arrived at Tianjin West Station around noon. The Tianjin Eye is the closest attraction, so I headed straight there after getting off the train. Due to my fear of heights, I only took photos under the bridge. Underneath the bridge is the Hai River, which is mostly frozen in winter. I even saw two uncles chiseling the ice to fish, wondering about their catch. Continuing along the Hai River, you can see the monument commemorating the diversion of water from the Luan River to Tianjin. After passing the monument, a 15-minute walk will take you to the Ancient Culture Street. There are many shops selling twisted dough sticks and clay figurines from Zhang's shop. Following my friends' advice, I tried a 'jianbing guozi' without falling into any tourist traps. Then I had a cup of bamboo leaf water from Zhang's Water Shop, which was refreshing and not too sweet. They also sell tea bags for you to take home and brew. Leaving Ancient Culture Street and passing through the Antique Street, you reach the Drum Tower, which is a bit messy as they are preparing for a lantern festival. Walking about 10 minutes past the Drum Tower, you arrive at the northwest corner, where there are many Halal food options, mainly serving breakfast. I went there at noon, so I didn't see the breakfast scene. I had a bowl of lamb soup and tried the beef dumplings, which were decent. After leaving the northwest corner, I took a bus to the Xikai Church, which can be visited for free without an appointment. I especially loved the colorful windows; when the sunlight hits them, they look like rainbows. Not far from the entrance of the Xikai Church is the Five Avenues. You can take a horse-drawn carriage to tour the Five Avenues, which is quite stylish. Walking along Chongqing Road to the end, you reach Minyuan Plaza, which has a distinctive arcade. Taking the bus again, I arrived near the Century Clock at Tianjin Station. There was a vendor selling cooked pear cakes by the bridge. I bought a portion for 15 yuan to try; it had nothing to do with pears, it was more like steamed glutinous rice topped with jam, quite tasty while hot. That concludes the trip, staying near Tianjin Station. Tomorrow continues!

A Whirlwind 8-Hour Tour of Tianjin!
Tianjin Trip: An 8-Hour In-Depth Experience!
Departing from Weifang North on the high-speed train at 10:30, I arrived at Tianjin South Station.
In these brief eight hours, I felt as though I had traversed through the historical river of Tianjin, experiencing the unique charm of this city. From the modern skyscrapers to the historic Ancient Culture Street, from the bustling commercial areas to the tranquil parks, the diversity of Tianjin left a deep impression on me.
1️⃣ I visited the Five Avenues and the Italian Style Street. The architectural styles of the Five Avenues are diverse, as if traveling back in time. The Italian Style Street, on the other hand, is filled with a rich European atmosphere, with various delicacies and shops that make one linger and forget to return. Here, I felt the unique charm of Tianjin and tasted the multiculturalism of the city.
2️⃣ Jinwan Plaza, where the buildings are full of European style, as if I were in a foreign land. The Haihe River cruise allowed me to appreciate the beautiful night view of Tianjin, with dazzling lights and pleasant scenery.
3️⃣ Taking photos at various spots, although I didn't enter the Porcelain House, the exterior was already stunning!
Overall, this eight-hour trip to Tianjin was incredibly rewarding. I felt the unique charm of the city and tasted its multiculturalism. The cuisine, architecture, and culture of Tianjin are unforgettable, and I hope to have the opportunity to visit this beautiful city again in the future.

Tianjin Jinwan Plaza is too photogenic (with photography guide)
The architecture in Tianjin is really photogenic. I planned to visit the Liberation Bridge and the Century Clock, and found that the European architecture of Jinwan Plaza is really beautiful! I couldn't help but want to visit, and the European architectural groups on both sides also constitute a beautiful oil painting!
⛩️Attraction Introduction
【One】Jinwan Plaza is located next to the Haihe River, opposite the Tianjin Station across the Haihe River, and is one of the busiest areas in Tianjin.
【Two】The biggest highlight is its cultural connotation. The diverse composition of Tianjin's modern architectural style vividly reflects the characteristics of the era of Chinese and Western cultural exchanges.
【Three】In addition, it is also the best place to appreciate the day and night views of the Haihe River. The high-rise buildings behind it are a bustling modern city, which is dazzling and charming when the lights are on at night.
【Four】The European architectural groups around the square and along the river also constitute the entire landscape, which is one of the iconic viewing points in Tianjin.
