We opted for a room in the newly refurbished block for that extra touch of comfort, and it was totally worth it. The path to our room felt brand new, and inside, we found a spacious, spotless room packed with all the comforts we needed. The other thing that we like is the gorgeous river nearby that sparkles under the night lights, plus a peaceful park for those casual walks. All in all, it's a cosy, convenient stay that left us more than happy !

|Booked a five-star hotel at half price. I have always had a special liking for state guesthouses and will give priority to them whenever I travel to a city. When I saw the room rate, I was surprised that Chengdu's room rate was really great value. It was even more than 200 yuan cheaper than the Hilton Garden Inn in Dujiangyan Scenic Area. I didn't believe it until I confirmed it with the hotel staff. The doorman immediately helped us with our luggage when he saw us. The hotel has a unified antique style, old-fashioned decoration, and the usual seven-star service. We were also given a room upgrade. I can’t remember how many times I have been upgraded, but this is the first time I have been upgraded during a holiday trip. The hotel breakfast was super rich. Because the chef didn't understand what I meant by clear soup noodles, I reported it to the staff and they made a big bowl of noodles again.
