It used to be the Setong Salt Field during the Qing Dynasty, but it was flooded and moved to the vicinity of Waidutou in Jiali, Tainan. In the 23rd year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (AD 1818), it was ravaged by floods again. It was moved here in 1818 and has not been moved since. It is the first salt field in Beimen Salt Works, and it is also the ancient salt field in Taiwan. It has a history of more than 180 years. Later, the tile-pan salt fields presented a beautiful art like mosaic collage. In order to continue the spirit of its salt drying industry culture, the Yunjia Nanhai National Scenic Area Management Office restored the salt fields, so that the special salt drying landscape of "Jingzaijiao" can still be seen. Retained on the coast of Yonghuali in the north gate, it has now become a very characteristic sightseeing salt field in the South Binhai National Scenic Area of Yunjia. Come here to play and experience the fun of traditional salt drying, salt picking, and salt harvesting. It is an in-depth scenic spot suitable for family and children to travel together.

Pretty salt fields in Tainan
The Jingzaijiao Wapan Salt Fields in Tainan is a salt field demarcated into squares and each square has salt raked into little mountains. This place is known for the sunset during good weather, as the sun and colourful skies will be reflected in the water surfaces of the salt fields.
An observation deck is erected next to the fields for a bird's eye view, with two floors for you to choose which level you will like to be on. A section of the fields is dedicated to allow visitors to experience how it is like to rake salt with a rake but sand is used in place of salt.
There is also a souvenir shop near the fields if you are looking for any salt related souvenirs. The birthday salts are quite interesting, which are actually fine salts coloured based on the birth date packed into small bottles.

Tainan Beimen District | Jingzijiao Tile-pan Salt Fields and Glass Triangle Church
Jingzijiao Wapan Salt Field is the first salt field in Beimen and the oldest existing Wapan Salt Field site. In addition to being able to experience the traditional fun of drying, carrying and collecting salt, it is also a popular spot for watching the sunset "fire cloud" scenery. Jingzijiao Wapan Salt Field deserves the title of one of the 36 secret places in Taiwan! The Beimen Wedding Beauty Land Cultural and Creative Park has a simple-designed glass pyramid-shaped triangular church, which is also a scenic spot where you can arrange to take photos. Tainan is really a perfect area for both delicious food and good photos.

台南超療癒系,北門熱門且超過200年歷史的日曬鹽場,好拍又美,期間限定黑腹燕鷗超壯觀!
This is the first salt field in the north gate of Tainan with a history of 200 years and is currently the largest natural solar salt field - Jingzaijiao Tile Pan Salt Field. You will really feel a sense of healing when you come here, and it is also good to take pictures because the scenery is so real. It’s so beautiful. What you must see in the evening is limited to the migratory bird season from October to March every year. Every evening, tens of thousands of black-bellied terns fly from far away countries to Taiwan’s Beimen Lagoon to escape the winter.
Black-bellied terns fly from far away abroad to roost. The scene of the birds flying over is so beautiful, just like a sky umbrella. The umbrella-like gathering and then dispersing, paired with the warm purple-yellow sunset, It’s truly an unforgettable view
In the 🛍souvenir shop next to it, you can see some information about sun-dried salt and salt production. I think it is good to treat this photo exhibition as a museum and learn while watching it. It is completely informative. You can also buy some souvenirs related to 🧂birthday salt or drink "Shiangong Tea" and eat salted eggs with smoother and denser yolks. "Shionggong Tea"🥤The salty and sweet taste is really special, and it is very refreshing in hot weather.
This is a must-visit recommendation when visiting the North Gate of Tainan. It is a very beautiful and spectacular attraction!

Jingzaijiao Tile Pan Salt Field
Qigu Salt Mountain is a well-known thing, but actually seeing it now is a different feeling. It is actually very strenuous to have tools to experience it on the spot. It is also a good place for watching the sunset.

This salt field was once the production center of salt in Taiwan. Now only a small production is left but tourists can visit and learn the history of the small village.

When you visit Tainan, you must experience the charm of the salt fields! Qigu Salt Fields is the largest salt field in Taiwan, with a spectacular salt mountain and endless salt fields, creating a dreamy scenery of white and blue sky. Standing on the salt mountain and looking down, the salt fields and lagoons stretch out, with a gentle breeze bringing the strong scent of the sea and the aroma of sun-dried salt.
Not far away, the Jingzaijiao Tile-paved Salt Fields is one of the oldest salt fields in Taiwan, with a history of over 300 years. It still retains the traditional method of manual salt drying. Ancient Salt Farm, Tainan
#TaiwanTravel
Jingzaijiao Tile-Paved Salt Fields [井仔腳瓦盤鹽田]: In the past, this city had a lot of salt farms, and it was the main industry of this city because it is located by the sea. Until now, salt farms are still being made. But the area that is open for people to come and take pictures is a model, so that the new generation can learn and study the ancient method of salt farming.
