Shenzhen's Cool Summer Retreat | I could spend a whole day by this natural stream
Playing in the mountain streams🌿, daydreaming, and listening to the cicadas is the most enjoyable thing in the ☀️ summer.
Actually, there are quite a few such 😍 cool places in Shenzhen itself.
And I favor this place because it's accessible by 🚗 car without the need to hike.
It's very suitable for bringing the elderly and children👍.

Located in Jingui Village, this natural stream
becomes 💦 full after the rainy season each year.
Not many people come, and the water level is at most up to a child's 👶 knees.
The current is not strong, so it's relatively safe🌟.
-
Adults can set up tables and chairs to rest, have a picnic, and 🍵 brew tea on the side.
Casually watch the kids within sight and recharge themselves⚡️.

😋 About food:
🔹 There are small restaurants just a few steps away, and several delicious farmhouses not far.
🔹 You can order takeout.
-

Shenzhen Weekend Outing|Hiking|Pingshan|Jingui Village
|Hiking|Pingshan|Jingui Village. Jingui Village has a history of over 400 years, dating back to the Qing Dynasty's Daoguang era. It was named after the mountain it leans on, which resembles a golden turtle; covering nearly 14 square kilometers, it comprises 7 natural villages with more than 160 households, all of which are Hakka people;
The Jingui River runs through the village, flanked by century-old banyan trees, lush and verdant forests, and clear water; this place was once the only passage between Dapeng Peninsula and the inland;
The village is built along the mountain and stream, following the undulating terrain from the foot of the mountain all the way to the heart of Tianxin Mountain (Shenzhen's sixth highest mountain) at an altitude of over 689 meters, with the highest point being Pingtouling Village, where it is said that only one original villager remains;
Years ago, Jingui Village was famous for its production of Jingui oranges, known for their large size, bright color, easy-to-peel skin, and sweet, juicy taste. The old Bao'an County was known for 'Nanshan peaches, Jingui oranges, Longgang yellow-legged chickens, and Kengzi sand pears';
Today, Jingui Village still has large areas of farmland, with paths crisscrossing the hills beside the farmland;
Tents are set up on the grassy banks of the stream, and every weekend, adults and children from the city come here to camp. At night, lights twinkle like stars, people enjoy beer under the moonlight, temporarily escaping the hustle and bustle of the city.
