Today, we will spend 2 days in Xuanzhou District, Xuancheng City, following the descriptions in Tang and Song poems to find the beautiful and poetic Xuanzhou! 1. Must-visit attractions: Jinting Mountain Scenic Area, Wanling Lake, Hongyuan Temple, Guangjiao Temple and Guangjiao Temple Twin Towers Ruins, Chinese Alligator Breeding and Viewing Center, Xuancheng Museum, Fushan Square, Xie Tiao Tower. 2. Parking Guide • There are three parking lots in front of the main entrance: at the foot of the mountain, opposite the Shuangta Temple, and next to the ticket office (including official and temporary parking lots). • We recommend driving directly to the parking lot next to the ticket office to avoid a long walk. • Arrive early to park in the official parking lot, or follow staff instructions to the temporary parking lot if you arrive late. 3. Tour Route • Enter the scenic area and follow the main road. • At the Guzhaoting Archway, we recommend taking the side road to the Tomb of Princess Yuzhen to experience the ancient atmosphere. • After visiting the tomb, return to the main road and continue climbing. • You can rest and visit the Shitao Memorial Hall. • There are two paths in front of the memorial hall: a gentle mountain road and a steep stone staircase. Choose according to your physical strength. • Both paths eventually lead to the mountain road. Continue to the main peak of Jingting Mountain, Yifeng. • Enjoy a panoramic view of Xuan City from the viewing platform. • A small road in front of the mountain leads to Wangjiang Pavilion, but the scenery is average, so we don't recommend going. • There is a Tianji Pavilion on the other peak, Cuiyun Peak. Visit if you are interested. 4. Descending and Returning • Return to the Shitao Memorial Hall and take the mountain road down (a longer distance). • At the foot of the mountain, you will find an unattended scenic area gate, a hidden free passage. • Continue forward, bypass the Guangjiao Temple wall, pass the small reservoir, and reach the temple square (the temple is temporarily closed). • Continue forward to the temporary parking lot. • Parking fees are paid at the foot of the mountain. 5. Other Information • Jingting Mountain is not high (over 300 meters), and it takes about two hours to climb up and down. • The mountain is full of poetry, calligraphy, and statues, making the climb a cultural experience. • Enjoy this cultural journey!

The many Hui-style scenic areas in Huangshan City are also popular tourist destinations in Anhui, overshadowing other areas in southern Anhui, such as Xuancheng, which borders Huangshan. Xuancheng, the birthplace of Xuan paper, is home to many ancient villages, as well as Taohua Pond and Jingtai Mountain, which are mentioned in Li Bai's poems. Today, however, we will introduce Fangtang in Ningguo County, Xuancheng. Ningguo, located in the southeast of Xuancheng City, is located at the northern foot of Tianmu Mountain. It is one of the top 100 greenest counties and cities in China in 2020, and is known as the hometown of Chinese yew and Phyllostachys edulis. It is home to several 4A-level scenic spots, such as the largest waterfall group in southern Anhui, the Jiutian Silver Waterfall, and the Enlong World Wooden House Village. However, the most unmissable scenic spot in Ningguo this season is Qinglong Bay National Forest Park in Fangtang Township. Fangtang Township, known as the back garden of western Ningguo, is rich in tourism resources. In 1998, a dam was built on the upper reaches of the Xijin River, forming a reservoir with a capacity of nearly 1 billion cubic meters. The water area of more than 30 square kilometers became an artificial lake, and 38 islands were formed in the lake. Three years later, the area was connected to the Banqiao Nature Reserve to form the Qinglong Bay Ecological Reserve. In 2004, Qinglong Bay was approved as a national forest park. Walking up the red trail is easier, and there is basically shade from trees, so you don't have to worry about the sun. There are many poems in Taibai Duzuo Building, which is very suitable for poetry lovers to check in. After going up to Tianji Pavilion, you have to walk back, and it is in the opposite direction to the top of Jingting Mountain. You can see it from a distance in the tea garden, but we didn't go there. The top of Jingting Mountain is also the Anhui Radio and Television Station, and there is a small shop next to it selling drinks and ice cream; there is a viewing platform where you can see the sunrise in the morning, but you need to make a reservation in advance on the official account. The steps down the mountain are closer, but the steps are indeed a bit steep, so it is not recommended to climb the steps up the mountain.
