[2025 Guilin Attraction] Travel Guide for Jingjiang Princes City (Updated Mar)

The Prince's City park was a great day out. Despite the rain we walked around the attractions and it seems like we were some of the only ones to come to the park today. We climbed Duxiu peak the solitary mountain whivch wasnt a long climb but certainly got me out of breath. It was a cloudy day but we could make out landmarks and mountain shapes in the mist. The fog makes it seem like an isolated alien planet. Highly recommend Princes park especially on a clear weather day and for those interested in local history and culture. #newyearadventure

If you visit Guilin and want to climb a small hill, this spot allows you to explore both the palace and the small hill behind it. You can climb up to enjoy the city view. This area was originally a palace for the prince to study. Inside, there is a small museum and the architecture at the back features inscriptions carved into the stone walls of the cliff. The climb up the hill is easy with steps and handrails. At the top, there are small pavilions and viewpoints. A must-try ❤️

In the Tang Dynasty, Li Jing constructed a city beneath Duxiu Peak, which has served as the administrative and educational center for over a thousand years. However, Duxiu Peak and the King's City were never open to the public or tourists until recently. 🌄 Jingjiang Palace was constructed in 1372, boasting a grand and imposing architecture with a deep gate, strong walls, and a meticulously designed layout. It features towering halls, pavilions, and picturesque views of water and mountains, reminiscent of the legendary Asgard. Jingjiang Royal City was the fiefdom of Zhu Shouqian, the Prince of Jingjiang during the Ming Dynasty, built in the year 1392. Inside the royal city, there are several century-old banyan trees. When spring comes and the weather warms, the old leaves make way for the new buds. With the spring breeze, leaves fall in abundance, and the ground is covered with yellow leaves. At first glance, one might mistake it for autumn, but in fact, the old banyan trees are already brimming with new branches.
