- Head from Xujiahui to the intersection of Taiyuan Road and Yongjia Road to see the 'Green Fairy Tale Castle' covered in climbing ivy. However, you need to shoot from across the street due to heavy traffic, so be patient and wait for the right moment. Stay for about 20 minutes.
Noon:

- Intersection of Dongchangzhi Road and Lüshun Road: Here, you can capture the 'Four-Piece Set' of the city in one frame. Stay for about 20 minutes.
Night:
- North Bund Riverside Green Space: Head to the National Guest Center's 'Little Egg.' The second-floor spot is comparable to a drone view and is very dreamy. The lighting effects at night are also great. If you go in the morning, there are fewer people; in the afternoon, you might need to queue. Stay for about 30 minutes.
- Pudong Art Museum Observation Deck: View the illuminated Bund from Pudong, full of ceremony, and end the day's itinerary perfectly. Stay for about 30 minutes.
Notes:
- Check the opening hours and best shooting times of each spot in advance to better plan your itinerary.
- Most spots around the Bund can be reached on foot or by bike; the spots around Xujiahui may require a taxi or metro.
- Prepare suitable photography equipment, such as cameras and phones, and ensure sufficient battery life.
- Pay attention to the weather; both sunny and rainy days can produce different styles of photos, but also take appropriate protective measures, such as carrying rain gear and sunscreen.
- Respect the rules and environment of each spot and take photos civilly.

key locations of Shanghai explosion asked
#citydaytours
Key locations of Shanghai explosion asked!! From the circle of friends, Hi~I'm Maomao. How few trips are there in the summer vacation? I went to Mordor once. The green wutong trees are all over the street. The old western-style houses are full of vintage trees. If you only know about the crowded Bund, then I went to Shanghai for 18 times. The experience tells you that using citywalk is the right way to punch cards. I summarized 14 free locations of the film dispenser. It takes one day to complete your circle of friends. As for the common framework of the three piece suite and the old western-style houses, it is suggested to expand the corner shooting of the intersection of Yongjia Road, Taiyuan Road, Jing'an Temple, a ceremony and the ocean to hold a Mahle Villa, Shamei Building, Shanghai Postal Museum, Garden Bridge of Shanghai, the intersection of Long Road and Changzhi Road, a Lushun Road and the road intersection, East Changzhi, North Bund, Riverside Green Land, Xiepu Road Ferry, Xiepu Road Ferry (P2), the real version of Lalaland, which is like a romantic film, the southern overpass can be photographed to combine the city and ancient buildings, and there is a kind of shock through the Three Jing'an Temple (P3) 4 Taiyuan Road Yongjia Road Intersection (P4) The castle wrapped in green ivy is only suitable for summer viewing. If you like to see the Wuyu Jinxiang New Asia Hotel (P5), you can see the Bund architectural complex at a glance. One day, it will be even more stunning. The towering skyscrapers at the intersection of Liudong Changzhi Road and Lushun Road (P6) have risen from the ground, creating a stunning visual impact. Walking across the zebra crossing, taking a photo is a big picture

Jing'an Temple in Shanghai
1. Reservation for incense offering: Search for 'Shanghai Jing'an Temple' on WeChat to make a reservation. Incense and flower coupons are available for 50 yuan, and you can enter at any time on the day of your choice. You may bring your own incense, but there is a fee of 10 yuan for a bundle of incense (three sticks) at the entrance.
2. Route selection: There are many commercial buildings around the temple, and there is a pedestrian street behind it. It may be difficult to park if taking a taxi, so it is recommended to take the subway Line 2 or Line 7 to Jing'an Temple Station.
3. Luggage storage: There are free luggage storage facilities at the south area B1 of the shopping mall at subway exit 8 and at the north area B2 of the shopping mall at subway exit 6.
4. Entering to offer incense: With the ticket purchased in advance, find the QR code on the reservation interface, and the staff at the entrance will scan it. If you wish to buy incense, turn right after entering where there is a stall. Incense can only be burned in the outdoor incense burner, and open flames are not allowed inside the halls, so you can choose to offer and burn incense before or after visiting the halls for worship.
5. Taboos and steps for worship: Do not step on the threshold, do not wear overly revealing clothes, do not take temple money out of the temple, do not throw coins, and do not toss money; sincerity is what matters most.
6. Photography tips: Try to take oblique shots of the pavilion scenes, take close-ups, and wear plain clothes rather than flashy ones for better photos. There are good shooting positions along the side corridors of the main hall, and the back side is relatively quiet.
7. Sharing on social media: Between seeking others and seeking oneself, I choose to seek Buddha. Between working and advancing, I choose to offer incense. I scoff at feudal superstitions, yet I kneel before the God of Wealth and cannot rise. I burn incense worth dozens of yuan, and make wishes worth millions. To ferry others, to ferry the heart, to ferry oneself. With a flower in hand and a smile on my face, I wish for good fortune and welcome auspiciousness. May the protectors of the void safeguard the unfulfilled fruits of Buddha, and may I first form good connections.

Jing’an Temple Day & Night
It is impossible to decide whether Shanghai’s Jing’an Temple is more beautiful at day or at night.
The golden roofs and the contrast its traditional Chinese details creates against the mega shopping malls in the background is as impressive as it is awkward.
One would expect tradition and innovation to occupy different spheres of the urban landscape, however, in Shanghai these two concepts are often deeply intertwined.
So it is, that is has become normal for passers-by to stare at Jing’an temple with indifference, it is so common to see it, standing strong in the center of the city that it could go almost unnoticed.
But it is always worth to stop for a moment, take a breath, look at this magnificent temple and rejoice the moment for a bit, before going on with the busy daily life of Shanghai.

Jing’an Temple
Address: 1686 Nanjing Rd (W), Jing'An, Shanghai, China, 200040
Highlights: Jing'an Temple is one of the most famous temples in Shanghai, and it is a must-visit if you ever travel to Shanghai. It is located in the Jing'an district, West downtown of Shanghai.
Jing'an temple is a Tangmi Buddhist temple. The first thing that really impressed me was the design and architecture of the temple, which was very beautiful and impressive with the backdrop of highrise buildings in Shanghai. It is like traditional blends in the cosmopolitan city.🥰
This temple is calm, and clean. It was a nice experience to be in this temple, to appreciate and enjoy the significant artwork here, including the well know and famous Hongwu bell, and the bronze Buddha. 😌
Opening hours: 7.30am to 5pm daily

Jing ‘an Temple Shanghai, China 🇨🇳
Jing ‘an Temple is iconic in the city of Shanghai. In a city full of glamour and luxury many look for spiritual growth as well as the temple offers a bit of serenity in the midst of the big city chaos Shanghai can be filled with.
The temple is easily reachable by subway train and is walkable. there are multiple levels and different floors for walking and talking. Inside the temple it is mostly quiet and filled with the sound of prayer.
Many can be seen giving offerings and confessing their worries and woes.
As a tourist, it is an easy day trip and locals can most surely give you directions.
The temple is easily in my opinion worth a visit.

Jing'an Temple in the predawn haze
It is the best season of the year to enjoy purple nights in Shanghai! Jing'an Temple is one of the most famous attractions here in Shanghai, but even if you are well familiar with it, you can take a chance to get acquainted with it from different perspective!
🏨🏦🏪 There are couple of high rise buildings surrounding the site of the temple, and they are kinda 'opened' to the public😅 The view from the above is absolutely amazing, and you can not only feel, but also see the diverse fabric of the city with different cultural, historic and aesthetical layers.
🚴🏻 One more thing, that you can enjoy, while diving deeper into the night city - is a bicycle ride along empty streets. It is an absolutely surreal experience to witness silent city which is usually overflowing with hustle and bustle.

German Christmas market
It’s always a wonderful experience going to the annual German Christmas market in Shanghai…it really sets the tone to Christmas, especially being far from home.
Apart from little ornaments and gift options being overpriced, the food is always different authentic and affordable. I’m only set to go for the food and mulled wine in recent years because in all honesty the other smaller things can be found on taobao waaaay cheaper(I was disappointed to look some of the things up and see the prices)!….
Anyways I would definitely recommend going to the market,it’s a great way to start off the festive season 🎄.#christmaslights

I've seen a lot of temples in my time, so I can tell you that Shanghai's Jing'an Temple is truly outstanding. This temple has a history of nearly two thousand years. The architecture is largely built in the Ming style, and the drum tower features a tenon-and-mortise structure, without a nail in sight. It is said that the deities here use their powers to grant good fortune to worshipers. Incidentally, you'll find plenty of Insta-famous photo backdrops here.
Mango..
Want to know where we like to go for the best view of Jing’an Temple? There’s this cute and quirky cafe (that we can never remember the name of) across the road with the biggest balcony we’ve seen in a long time. That, my friends, is where you’ll find an amazing view of the temple alongside some ok coffee 😂 ⠀

shanghai is a great place, for night life
as long as it's not that humid

Jing’an Temple is Shanghai stands tall among various shopping plazas and narrow scenic walking streets. The temple has an air of commercialisation, with its outskirts lined with fancy diamond and jewellery shops, it’s hard not to feel as if it is a very Shanghai type of temple.

Jing'an Temple - The most expensive temple in China.
Jing'an Temple is located on West Nanjing Road in Jing'an District, Shanghai. It is a historic Buddhist temple that was first built during the Three Kingdoms period. It was originally named Hudu Chongyuan Temple and was later renamed Jing'an Temple. Jing'an Temple has been rebuilt many times throughout the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. Despite this, it has always been a popular place of worship and is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Shanghai. The temple's architecture is unique, combining elements of Han Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism. The temple houses many precious cultural relics. Jing'an Temple is not only a pilgrimage site for Buddhists, but also an important symbol of Shanghai's culture, witnessing the city's changes and development.
Jing'an Temple enshrines a 15-ton pure silver statue of Sakyamuni Buddha and a 2-ton pure gold statue of Buddha. This temple, located in a prime location, is the most expensive temple.
📖Cultural value
Jing'an Temple houses the famous paintings of the Eight Immortals and Wen Zhengming's authentic work "Pipa Xing".
🏮Cultural activities
Every year on the 8th day of the 4th lunar month, the Bathing Buddha Festival, which is also the birthday of Sakyamuni, Jing'an Temple holds a grand temple fair, which is also a highlight of the temple's cultural life. It is said that on this day of the year, Jing'an Temple is crowded with people, and the streets are bustling with people. In Gao Songfen and Xu Jiazhen's "Random Memories of Mountain Life", it is recorded:
I remember that a few days before the 8th day of the fourth lunar month of the second year, preparations for the temple fair were being made outside Jing'an Temple. Workers set up stalls on the road, selling everything from woodenware to silk, clothes, hats, shoes, lacquerware, suitcases, women's jewelry, stationery, toys, pastries, and candies. The market opens on the 6th and closes on the 9th. Early in the morning on the 8th, good men and women would carry yellow cloth bags and incense baskets, waiting for Jing'an Temple to open so that they could be the first to burn incense and worship Buddha to show their piety. This is called "burning the first incense". It is said that the merit is particularly great.
It can be seen that Jing'an Temple had such a grand temple fair at that time.
Looking forward to the 8th day of the fourth lunar month next year, let's go to Jing'an Temple to pray for blessings together!
"May the Buddha's hands hang down" and "May the Buddha's hands touch the hearts of the people and make them equal".
May everyone be able to pray for a peaceful state of mind in this pure land of Jing'an Temple, and spend their peaceful years in peace.
🕹Address: No. 1686, West Nanjing Road, Jing'an District, Shanghai.

Jing'an Temple in Shanghai
Jing'an Temple in Shanghai is one of the most expensive temples in China, valued at approximately 5.8 billion yuan. If you visit Shanghai, make sure to stop by Jing'an Temple to pray for peace. It is said that prayers made here are particularly effective.
The entrance fee of 50 yuan may vary depending on your purpose. If you sincerely wish to pray, it is worth paying, but if you only intend to take photos, it may not be necessary to enter.
When I visited, Exit 3 of Jing'an Temple Station was closed. So, I exited through Exit 6 and had a meal at 'Gagatangbao'. After taking photos at Jing'an Temple, you can also visit Yuhengji and 'Juchangfu'.

Jing'an Temple
Jing'an Temple, also known as Jing'an Ancient Temple, is located in Jing'an District, Shanghai. The (old) Jing'an District is named after it.
History: The history of Jing'an Temple is said to date back to the 10th year of Chiwu in the Kingdom of Wu during the Three Kingdoms period (247 AD), initially named Huduo Chongyuan (Xuan) Temple. In the first year of Dazhong Xiangfu in the Song Dynasty (1008 AD), it was renamed Jing'an Temple. In the ninth year of Jiading in the Southern Song Dynasty (1216 AD), the temple was relocated from the banks of the Wusong River to the edge of Lupu Feijingbang (now West Nanjing Road), earlier than the establishment of Shanghai city. It can be said to have a long history, witnessing the development of Shanghai.
Features: After the expansion, Jing'an Temple currently covers a larger area. Besides the main entrance from West Nanjing Road, there are no other entrances. Once inside, you can have an unobstructed view of various architectural layouts. The total building area of Jing'an Temple is 22,000 square meters. The entire temple forms a layout with the main hall in the front and the pagoda at the back, consisting of three main buildings: the Mahavira Hall, the Hall of Heavenly Kings, and the Hall of Three Saints. It is the oldest Buddhist temple in Shanghai. The temple houses famous paintings by Bada Shanren and the authentic cursive script long scroll of 'Pipa Xing' by Wen Zhengming. Jing'an District is also famous for Jing'an Temple. The architectural style of Jing'an Temple imitates the style before the Ming Dynasty, with the typical representative being the structure of dougong (interlocking wooden brackets).

The area where Jing'an Temple is located is the Jing'an Temple commercial circle, which includes famous commercial establishments like Jiuguang Department Store. You can explore and enjoy these places one by one.

🌟Day 1: A Relaxed and Zen Journey in Shanghai
11:00: Finally got up, got ready, and lazily set off. Chose to travel by subway, convenient and fast.
11:30: Arrived at the old alley noodle shop in West Shanghai, a famous restaurant known for its clam and liver noodles, paired with mung bean paste and fried pork chop, sweet but not greasy, perfect for those who love sweets. Sharing food with others adds more fun.
Jing'an Temple: A 5-minute walk brings you to the most expensive temple in China. Calm your mind, feel the tranquility and sanctity, buy incense and pray, and purify your soul.
Wukang Road: A 20-minute walk, this is Shanghai's cultural landmark. Under the Wukang Building, learn about the history of the architecture and feel the charm of old Shanghai. Avoid the crowds and quietly appreciate the sense of age in the old buildings.
Old Mike Coffee: In the rain, find a corner, a cup of coffee, a piece of tiramisu, and enjoy a moment of peace. Although the price is high, it is worth it.
Nanjing Road: From classical to modern transformation, the prosperity of Nanjing Road reminds people of Dongmen in Shenzhen. Anime city, cosplayers, this is a paradise for the second dimension.
Crab Roe Noodles: A specialty of Shanghai, directly tasting the delicious crab meat, paired with radish to relieve greasiness, satisfying the taste buds.
The Bund: The Bund at night, brightly lit, with European-style buildings and modern skyscrapers complementing each other. Although Shenzhen has tall buildings, the Bund in Shanghai adds a sense of historical depth.
Return to Hotel: The day's journey ends at 9 PM, taking the bus, enjoying the night lights of Shanghai.
This is a trip without rushing, walking slowly, looking slowly, feeling the cultural charm of Shanghai. Shanghai not only has the fast-paced urban life but also leisurely times waiting for you to discover.

A guide to enjoying the Jing'an Temple attractions in Shanghai during the summer vacation
Jing'an Temple cares for all beings, providing a sanctuary for the soul in the bustling city.
When you arrive in Shanghai, there's no reason not to visit Jing'an Temple.
The thousand-year-old Jing'an Temple is located on the bustling Nanjing Road, one of the busiest commercial areas in Shanghai.
Jing'an Temple is resplendent and magnificent, with its unique golden light illuminating the surroundings. Compared to the surrounding hustle and bustle, it appears particularly solemn and serene, adding a touch of tranquility to the bustling city. At night, when the lights are on, Jing'an Temple looks even more solemn and majestic, creating a picture of historical and modern interweaving with the busy traffic in front.
Photography Spots:
1. The pedestrian bridge on the south side of Jing'an Temple: This is considered the most classic spot, with no obstructions. You can shoot from day to night, capturing the distant Jing'an Temple and the nearby busy traffic, creating a picture of historical and modern interweaving. This spot is also great for time-lapse photography with a tripod, capturing the flow of traffic.
2. The fountain pool at the exit of Jing'an Temple Metro Line 14: The fountain pool at Wheelock Square International Plaza can capture the reflection of Jing'an Temple. However, the downside is that there are too many street lights, utility poles, and pedestrians. The zebra crossing next to the fountain pool is very suitable for wide-angle shots of Jing'an Temple.
3. Opposite the road from the fountain pool at Wheelock Square: There is a metro entrance, which is very suitable for close-up shots of Jing'an Temple.
Notes:
Lighting time: The lights are only on Fridays and Saturdays, so don't go on the wrong day. In summer, the lights turn on at seven o'clock.

Explorint Jing An Temple
once you enter the temple , you will be greeted with an interesting sight where lots of people are crowded around a central urn, trying to throw coins into the urn . walked around the temple as well and it's really well maintained with beautiful architecture . would recommend walking one round around the temple to soak in the atmosphere before you end the day there
