Standing on the gate tower, you can almost see Jiang Wei leading the Shu army, defending against the Wei. The battle cries and swirling dust seem to come alive. Following the ancient road, the ancient cypresses of Cuiyun Corridor are breathtaking. Thousands of these trees, their branches reaching for the sky, create a dense canopy. Like loyal guards, they have protected this ancient road for millennia. Some of these cypresses are over a thousand years old, having witnessed countless dynasties rise and fall. They are living fossils, silently narrating the glories of the past. The natural scenery of the Jianmen Shu Road is magnificent. Here, peaks rise one after another, cliffs scrape the clouds, and the landscape is both grand and varied. Mingyue Gorge, with its "flying bridge over the precipice," features a deep canyon and rushing river, showcasing the wonders of nature. Fule Mountain, adorned with flowers in all seasons, adds a touch of romance to this ancient road, making it seem like a fairyland. Beyond its natural beauty and historical sites, the Jianmen Shu Road is also rich in culture. Li Bai's poem, "The Difficulty of Shu Road," made the Jianmen Shu Road famous throughout the land. The lines "The towering Jianmen Pass, steep and high, one man can hold the pass against ten thousand," vividly depict the perilous terrain and have sparked the imaginations of countless people, drawing them to this mysterious land. The Jianmen Shu Road is more than just a route connecting Sichuan and Shaanxi. It's a rich tapestry woven with thousands of years of history and culture, waiting to be explored, savored, and experienced.

Jianmen Pass and the Monkey Path/Bird Path can be understood as two places, connected by a tourist road/driving road in the middle. The Jianmen Pass section is located at the south gate of the Jianmen Shu Road, and the Monkey Road/Bird Road section is located at the north gate of the Jianmen Shu Road. The most exciting part is the Monkey Trail and the Bird Trail. These two thrilling roads are one-way and can only be used from bottom to top. After that, there is the upper station of the cable car, where you can take the cable car down the mountain. Enter from Jianmen Pass, look around as you walk, there are several paths leading to the Monkey Path/Bird Path, don't go the wrong way, if you go the wrong way, you will miss the Monkey Path/Bird Path because they can only go from bottom to top, in one way. The second mistake was to take the tour bus route. Although you can reach the entrance of the Monkey Trail/Bird Trail, you will miss other scenic spots. After finishing the Monkey Trail/Bird Trail, take the 2 sections of cable cars down the mountain directly. You can only exit the scenic area, which is the North Gate. There are many cars picking up passengers there. Go back to the South Gate (towards the Jianmen Pass Tower). It’s best to take Didi, which is more than 9 yuan, and there is no need to bargain. It is said that there are buses, but in reality they stop when you wave, and there is no fixed bus stop. I waited for a long time but didn't see the so-called bus. Didi is more convenient.
