Jiangning Weaving Museum is a modern museum built on the Jiangning weaving site in the Qing Dynasty. It was designed by Mr. Wu Liangyong, a famous architect and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The Jiangning Weaving Museum has a permanent Jiangning Weaving Exhibition Hall, Yunjin Tianyi Exhibition Hall, Dream of Red Mansions Exhibition Hall, and Chinese Cheongsam Exhibition Hall. It also has Red Mansion Cinema, Fashion Release Center, Red Mansion Theater, Cao Mansion Theater and other exhibition and service facilities, integrating cultural learning, entertainment and leisure Integrated into one, it is a new type of museum that displays the history and culture of Jiangning weaving, Nanjing Yun brocade and "Dream of Red Mansions". 4

The design concept of the Jiangning Weaving Museum is derived from the late Ming prose 'Record of the Core Boat', creating a rich cultural connotation in a very small space, like a fine bonsai embedded in the bustling area of Nanjing, while also outlining a Jiangnan landscape painting. The garden was an important venue for Cao Xueqin's grandfather, Cao Yin, to socialize with literati, scholars, and friends for reciting poetry and composing verses. Cao Yin was proficient in opera, and Emperor Kangxi watched performances by the Cao family opera troupe in the Cao Mansion Opera Garden inside the Jiangning Weaving during his southern tours. The Xuanrui Hall is located in the very center of the entire building, with its plaque inscribed by Emperor Kangxi. The architecture of the Jiangning Weaving Museum is reconstructed according to historical records, including the West Pond, Lian Pavilion, Xuanrui Hall, and West Hall of the original Weaving Bureau. Looking from south to north, the buildings rise in layers, resembling a Jiangnan landscape painting, with many design details referencing the description of the Grand View Garden in 'Dream of the Red Chamber'. It is a classic work that combines the language of modern architecture with traditional garden architecture.
