Hanok Village is the most famous tourist area in Jeonju, and the entire scenic area has a complete set of tourist services. Jeonju has a special place in my heart. People lives in a slower pace here compare to Seoul and I just love the hanok village. Did a hanok stay here and absolutely love it. The Hanok Village is a must visit! It is wayyyy better than those in Seoul to be honest. My highlight of the trip would be Chokso Cafe in Omokdae. The cafe is under the real hanok. Jeonju Hanok Village is a historical place located south of Seoul. Here you can find traditional Korean houses that are dated back as far as the Joseon Dynasty. The houses are now used as shops, restaurants and museums to showcase the many traditions of South Korea, such as rice wine making. It is about 2.5 hours journey by train from Seoul. Some of the popular attractions in Jeonju is to stay in one of the Hanok houses. This is a place I've been eating for 7 years, and it's still a famous restaurant. This is a famous kalguksu restaurant, and on top of the kalguksu, they put seaweed powder, perilla powder, and red pepper powder. The broth was rich and savory, which was good. The chewy noodles had a rich flavor that we think of as chewy noodles, so I think it was better than other chewy noodles. There are two types of dumplings, meat dumplings and kimchi dumplings, and they say you can get half and half. There was a rumor that this place was sold to someone else, but they said that didn't happen. Parking is free for 1 hour if you eat, and you have to pay in advance.

There are cute props and terrace seats, so it was fun to look around the cafe :) It's good to go to a famous cafe, but if you want to spend some quiet time alone and enjoy the Hanok scenery, Laon Cafe is a good choice 🫶 #Hanok

Hanok is a hit in Jeonju and many visitors would like to have the experience to stay in a Hanok (Korean traditional house) in Jeonju. Most hanok is made of wood but this traditional house is partially made of stra. This guesthouse, named Jeonju Geunsunae Chogajip is a very traditional simple guesthouse offering guest an experience to stay in houses made of strawgrass. It has 5 small rooms for guest to choose from, and the garden is very beautiful, full of chrysantymum flowers. The owner also offers guest a welcome traditional tea when arriving. At the back entrance of Jeonju Hanok Village there lies a pavillion on top of a steep hill, called Omokdae. The story behind this pavillion is that Yi Seong Gye, later King Taejo who founded the Joseon dynasty, stopped by this pavillion after the victory against Japanese invaders in one of the war. The word carvings are writings from King Gojong. From the top of the pavilion one can have a wide view of Jeonju Hanok village. 📍Jeonju Taepyeonggotaek ▫️ Near Gaekridan-gil ▫️ Parking available for 1 car in front of the accommodation ▫️ 2 jacuzzis, 1 sauna ▫️ Weekends around 400,000 won I visited the new jacuzzi emotional sook near Jeonju Hanok Village and Gaekridan-gil🤍 There are 1 indoor jacuzzi and 1 outdoor jacuzzi, so it was a place with a total of 2, so it was really great for healing! The location was also really good, so it was nice to walk around Gaekridan-gil You have to use a car to get to the Hanok Village! In Korea we can watch the royal guard change in some palaces, and in Jeonju they perform this ritual every Saturday in the afternoon, from Spring to Fall, at the main gate of the Gyeonggijeon Palace, and it resembles the ceremony as seen in the main palace in Seoul: Gyeongbokgung Palace. Namcheon bridge connects Jeonju Hanok Village and Seohak-dong, located over the Jeonju River in Jeonju city. This is an arc shaped bridge and on its top it has a traditional korean structure for resting, with 10 pillars from the front and 3 from the side, suiting the style of the traditional village located just after crossing this bridge. Built during the 18th century, it received its final restoration during 2009. I am going to write about my trip to Jeonju. Jeonju is a major city in Jeolla Province! Jeonju is famous for its Hanok Village, and even the toll gates are made with traditional Korean roof tiles. As soon as we arrived, we visited the arboretum to take some photos, and then we went straight to the Hanok Village. The Hanok Village is really well-maintained and very large! You can feel the serene atmosphere and it seems to preserve Korean tradition very well! I also had Jeonju Bibimbap here, but for dinner, I had shrimp and it was so delicious! If you are Korean, you must visit Jeonju at least once!!
