Jeonju might not be on most people’s travel radar but it certainly should be! Just about 1.5hrs train from Seoul or a 3hr bus ride from Seoul, it offers a charming, relaxed small city feel with good eats (like Kalguksu, mandu, choco pie, bibimbap and bean sprouts soup) and well preserved traditional Korean hanok village architecture. If you're a Catholic, you can also attend Mass, so keep that in mind. Gyeonggijeon Shrine may not have new buildings, but it has modest Hanok (traditional Korean houses) and you can see the portrait of King Taejo Lee Seong-Gye, the founder of the Joseon Dynasty. It's as if you can feel the energy of Lee Seong-Gye~ There are also many cafes nearby and places selling Jeonju's famous chocolate pies, making it a nice spot for a casual visit.

Cheongsudang-Baram Yakgwa-Ipopnamu Railroad-Cheolbuk Art Factory-Cafe Manchu-Daga Brewery-Jeondong Cathedral I arrived in Jeonju by early morning bus. To recharge my sugar, I had a dessert based on rice cakes and coffee at Cheongsudang, and then went to Baram Yakgwa nearby. Baram Yakgwa is also a cafe, and as you can see in the photo, the outdoor seating was open and well-decorated, so it was nice to spend some leisurely time. After that, I heard that the poplars were blooming along the railroad, so I took pictures. There were as many people as there were trees.. And then, at the Art Factory along the railroad, there was a free exhibition and an eco-friendly themed flea market, so I went to see the four works. After spending lunch like this, sweating it out, I had a highball at Cafe Manchu near the Hanok Village. In fact, this place is more famous for its shaved ice that looks like noodles. And then, with my hungry stomach, I went to Daga Brewery, famous for its savory Jeonmakase. Since the basic side dishes are constantly coming out, you can expect to eat a lot. Finally, I finished my trip by looking at the night view of Jeondong Cathedral and Hanok Village. Have a happy vacation everyone😍
