Monster Planet Japanese Curry Rice
#singapore
Monster Planet Japanese Curry Rice starts with a base of a thick, flavorful curry sauce. The sauce is simmered to perfection, resulting in a silky-smooth, mildly sweet, and slightly tangy gravy. There are a wide selection of toppings that range from a variety of fried items like katsu (breaded and fried cutlets), tempura, or even creative vegetarian alternatives. The choice of proteins includes options like succulent pork, tender chicken, or crispy shrimp. Highly recommended! Their weekday lunch promotion is value for money, it came with Haagen-Dazs ice cream!

Monster Planet by Monster Curry
#mysgmemories
I have always been curious of the big plates being showcased at Monster Planet. Even though the food plated was not real, it looks so good. Now, it’s Halal certified and I had my first experience eating there.
The big plate was scary as I didn’t know what to expect. We ordered two sets of rice, chicken and salmon. As it was my first time trying and not sure of the spicy level, we opted for level 1. Thankfully, it was level 1 because I can’t really take spiciness.
The portion was huge. If you are not a big eater, you can opt for one main and add on some sides. For sides, I ordered Takoyaki. I wanted to end the meal with a dessert that was listed in the menu but unfortunately, the one we wanted wasn’t listed in the iPad.

Chill bar to catch up with friends!
Address: Tipsy Bunny, 50 Jurong Gateway Rd, #01-05 Jem, Singapore 608549
Rating: 💕💕💕💕
A nice bar in the west side of Singapore? I was quite reluctant to visit this place initially as I thought it would be overpriced and underwhelming food.
Located on the ground level of JEM lies the perfect bunny cave to hideaway. We ordered:-
1. Wagyu Beef Cube - 10/10 soft and tender the beef were well seasoned! I love it a lot, it's definitely worth the purchase
2. Giant shrimp aglio olio- 10/10 the dish was generous with 3 giant prawn and a scallop. The aglio olio was very flavourful and the psta was cooked to perfection. I will definitely come back here to satisfy my aglio olio craving
3. Tipsy burnt cheesecake - 5/10 The ice cream on the side was very delicious but the actual cheesecake was a disappointment. Taste nothing like a cake or how a cheesecake should taste like. Texture was more like pudding.
The staffs were friendly, ambiance was great and they had live performance in the outdoors area. Music was a but loud if you're planning to chit chat with your friends, but if you just want to chill over some drinks and music in the west, i definitely recommend this place.
This restaurant is part of Tipsy collection where they have several stores across Singapore with different menu.

Yew Kee Specialities Braised Duck Rice
#singapore
I like Yew Kee braised duck. The sauce was flavorful with a blend of aromatic spices, soy sauce, and other seasonings, which infuses the meat with a deep, complex flavour. The meat was tender and juicy. It is good with steamed rice, noodles or kway teow. Their braised duck rice set is garnished with a variety of condiments and sauces, such as sliced cucumbers, tofu, braised eggs, and chili sauce, to add extra flavor and texture. The taste is savory, rich, and flavorful, with a perfect balance of sweet and salty notes. Overall, it is a delicious and satisfying meal.

Pocha Korean Street Food in JEM
#singapore
This is a newly opened restaurant in JEM serving authentic Korean street food. Pocha is a popular Korean term used to describe a street-side bar or pub that serves Korean street food and drinks. We tried their signature Tobokki and Bulgogi. Tastes good but quite spicy. They have a promo set meal for two with a free corndog, which costs only SGD29.90. If you like fried rice or ramyeon, you may opt for this. I saw some good comments about their Jjigae (Korean stew), and will try it out next time. Each table was given a complimentary Kimchi. I like that they put a slice of lemon in warm water which makes the water more appealing to drink. Be prepared for long queues especially during peak hours.

I was attracted by the beautiful Pussy Willow flower arrangements. They are different in size, all look cute. Other flowers like Orchids, Chrysanthemum, Peonies, Plum Blossoms, Flamingo Flowers and more, have many choices for different budgets. Wish the flowers would bring Wealth, Health and Good Fortune.

Chir Chir Fusion Chicken Factory
Chir Chir is a popular fried chicken chain originating from Seoul. The popular dishes are Garlicky Soy Fried Chicken, Honey Butter Chicken, Curry Powder Fried Chicken, Sour Cream and Onion, Cheesy Fondue Chicken, and more. Other than their signature fried chicken, they also serve good quality tobokki, seafood soup, and cheese fries. For drinks, I highly recommend Chir Cream Beer, it’s smooth and easy to drink. Beer and fried chicken are always a perfect match. There is a drink called Lady Killer on the menu, not sure what it is, would like to try it out some day. It’s about 2 minutes walking distance from MRT station.

IKEA Jurong @ JEM
This is IKEA's first small-concept store in Southeast Asia, and a third outlet in Singapore. There are three levels at IKEA Jurong. Level 2 is Living Room, Level 3 is Bedroom, Level 4 is Kitchen with the popular IKEA food hall and restaurant. It is not quite the mega-store that most of us are familiar with. Here, you can enjoy easier shopping with cashless payments, digital tools, and a combined layout of inspiration and home furnishing. This reduces queues as each floor has its own check-out area. There is information on the number of people at the queue on each level. Special exceptions are made for older folks who prefer other modes of payment. To accommodate the narrower aisles, you can also make use of the smaller IKEA trolleys for shopping. Limited parking. IKEA at Jem is conveniently located next to the Jurong East MRT station.

Paris Baguette Singapore @ JEM
Paris Baguette Singapore is a French-inspired bakery that offers freshly baked cakes, pastries, sandwiches, bread, salads and more. Baked fresh every day. Paris Baguette was founded in South Korea in 1988, the business has grown phenomenally, with over 3,000 outlets in its home country, with plans to open 12,000 stores globally by 2030. The brand has clearly created a recipe for stealing hearts and bringing in the dough, considering that its founder was ranked the 21st richest man in South Korea in 2016. In Singapore, its creations are pretty localised, with items like Korean Powder Garlic Bread (SGD4.30) and Singapore Choco Twist (SGD5.50) on its menu. Their popular Royal Pudding (three flavours, from SGD4.00) probably caters more to the rich-and-creamy Korean palate than a traditional French one, but is nonetheless quite a hit in Singapore!

Auntie Anne’s - Sweet & Savoury Pretzel
Auntie Anne is not your ordinary auntie. This Auntie Anne serves sweet, savoury and pretzel. Once bitten, you will ask for more. And it is best eaten while it is hot!
Today, I bought the cinnamon stix and choc almond bites. Imagine the hot chocolate and crispy dough when you bite on the choc almond bites - heaven! I wished I bought more than one!
I cannot wait to try their savoury pretzel! According to their menu, the must try are Sour Cream & Onion and Cheezy Turkey. Hopefully, the next time I walked past Auntie Anne, the queue is not long so I grabs and go.
What is your favourite pretzel? Share with me your favourite so that I can try during my next visit!

All you can Eat Salad Bar
📍50 Jurong Gateway Rd, #04-25 Jem, Singapore 608549
It had been a long while since I've eaten at any self-service salad bar, and finally XW Western Grill had opened up their All you can eat Salad Bar with any main course purchase.
There are quite a lot of side dishes available for choosing here, such as potato puffs, onion rings, mushroom, broccoli, mixed salad with separate sauces, pasta, rice, fruits and more. I took quite a lot as well.
The restaurant was quite crowded with most customers going to and fro the salad bar for their free flow sides. There's times where some of the items are empty, but the staff kept on replenish the salad bar with more food.
Overall a great meal and I very much prefer taking the food myself rather than being served with the food, of which sometimes it really took very long.

Linkbridge @ Jurong East
#moreinsg
J Walk is a pedestrian linkbridge connecting Westgate, JEM, IMM, NTFGH together. This is a very important linkbridge because it provide shelter and wheelchair accessible to many users. It used to be able to connect to Big Box too but this shopping mall has closed down.
From J Walk, the start point can be from anywhere. I want to highlight that it is also connected to Jurong East MRT, making the shopping area in entire Jurong east very accessible.
With the ease of covid measures, the linkbridge has reopen all its entrances and exits. Everyone is free to use this J Walk. With this J Walk, there are no longer shuttle buses required.

Sip coffee all day like you were hanging out at Kopitiam back in the 80s. The kopitiam have evolved and now we have Starbucks which is a great hangout place for the young and mature crowd. Starbucks always has new drinks and it is worth trying them out. I will suggest you sign up as a member for free on their app. You can collect points and redeem freebies on birthday month. Do look out for their merchandise too, definitely localised and integrate Singapore cultures into their designs. Believe me when I say people queue up to buy their merchandise (but not their drinks).

Average price per person: 30
Rating: Look for deals
Eating at Sushi Tei is a luxury, as compared to the other sushi places at lower prices. However, it is a comfort to dine at Sushi Tei. They have spacious seating and a quieter environment. If you are dining alone, I will recommend their bar counter seats. Their sushi bar counter is a different concept compared to omakase style. It is a less lively interaction because there won’t be anyone behind the sushi bar counter. I like their sukiyaki dish and it is served in a personal pot. You can choose from a range of premium meat and customised to your liking. There is also a seasonal menu and it changes from time to time. Worth a try!

Highlights - This brand originated from Taiwan and are known for their premium quality freshly brewed teas. They’ve got tea-brewing down to an exact science with their patented technology!
