Had an amazing day in Pahang's Japanese Village with my bffs. We got to wear traditional kimonos for the first time. The shop owner was super nice. She helped us pick out our kimonos and dressed us up. We felt like we were in Japan! The traditional wooden houses, serene gardens, and peaceful ponds created an atmosphere that made us forgrt we are in Malaysia. We explored the village, took lots of photos and had a blast. When our hour for the kimonos rental was up, we reluctantly returned to the shop. To our surprise, the owner didnt charge us extra for exceeding our time. The Japanese Village is an attraction at Colmar Tropicale ,Bukit Tinggi. There is quite a steep climb including stairs and uphill walk. A tiny Japanese garden where you can rent Kimonos for photography. There are a tiny Japanese garden and small home is very cute. For your info there is no entrance fee required. Shuttle bus available or just driving too. When you arrive at the parking area u need to climb up 88 steps of staircases. Of course It is not wheelchair accessible. Staircase and rocks are slippery when wet, so it is advisable to watch your steps. It's a really good place if u are a nature lovers. Colmar Tropicale is a French-inspired village with a rabbit garden & Japanese spa. Anyway, this isn't an actual village, it's just a little cute area, with French like architecture, a pond and some shops known as the Japonese village. The weather is much cooler than Kuala Lumpur, so it's a good break from the city. The French village is also known by the name of it's resort Colmar Tropicale, it is less than 50 Kilometers away from the city, and given how much I blabbered on Genting highlands in the previous posts, the French village and the Japanese gardens are both quite nearby Genting.

The Japanese Village is surrounded by lush rainforest, verdant flora and fauna, spread across a garden landscape on a hilltop at Berjaya Hills, Bukit Tinggi. It is just five minutes away by car from Colmar Tropicale Resort. The village comprises the Japanese Tea House, Botanical Garden, Tatami Spa, Ume Tatami Suite and Ryo Zan Tei Restaurant. You can explore rock pools, koi ponds, flower gardens and a Japanese tea house. Highly recommended to enjoy the tranquility and serenity of the Japanese Village, where the relaxing sounds of the waterfalls and brooks will soothe and melt away your troubles. What an amazing way to express your inner Japanese soul by just wearing a Japanese traditional outfits kimono. I had so much fun playing tourist with my son taking pictures in a Japanese house and garden. the garden really make u feel like you in a japan except for the hot weather is different . on the way to japanese house u need to hike a quite long way . it is not recommend for oldies as the Japanese house is quite far from parking area. As u climb up to the Japanese house u are going to find small store with free toilet at the back so if I feel like to pee no problem as the Japanese house is not too far from the toilet. overall the Japanese house is suitable for newlyweds or group of friends that love taking nice picture with nice background. #travelgoals #gooutside #summervacation
