Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque is the largest mosque in Brunei. The architectural style of the temple is very modern, and it is more resplendent and beautiful at night under the rendering of lights.

#summerdestinations
This is also my unforgettable moment summer trip in Brunei. Bandar Seri Begawan has its own uniqueness in terms of surprising the tourist.
First thing you will be surprised is in fact they almost have NO public transport in the city. Everyone has their own cat to o around the city. This one that makes me frustrated as a tourist 😆 what a thrill hahaha
Secondly, you can absolutely use Singapore Dollars as well for any transaction in the country as they have signed a memorandum for both country to use SGD currency in the country that is legal.
Then, the food taste is Malay food so if you have been to Malaysia, you have no worries about it
Visit Brunei is FUN! 🤩 #brunei #bandarseribegawan #bruneidarussalam

This is the first pitstop when we arrived in Brunei as it is just 10 minutes away from Brunei International Airport.
Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque is a mosque in Kampong Kiarong of Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. It is named after Hassanal Bolkiah, the 29th and current Sultan of Brunei. It is one of the two state mosques, the other Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque.
Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque was established on 14 July 1994 and it is the largest mosque in the country and can accommodate 5,000 worshippers at a time. We were impressed with the design and facilities of this mosque. Very unique and have their own stories.

The Jame asr' Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque
The Jame asr' Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque is considered to be a masterpiece of modern Islamic Architecture throughout South Asia. The mosque's architecture shows influences of the Turkish style, with its four tall minarets towering over the golden domes.
These are throw back photos. We had a trip to Bali last year and had 24 hours lay over in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. We decided to seize that opportunity to explore a bit although it was already around 1am when we arrived at the hotel, my boyfriend and I decided to go for a walk and look around this city. We have searched that it's a safe place so we didn't worry much about it. And so, we decided to use google map to find this mosque and luckily it's just near where we stayed.
It really looked stunning especially at that time since no one was around. We weren't able to get inside though.

At the Kin
At the King’s Mosque they have separate entrance for the royal family. Men and women pray separately I just found out maybe this is normal for muslims.
Photography is not allowed inside the mosque but i can say it was beautifully decorated Narra from the Philippines, chandeliers from Vienna, marble from Italy, carpet from Persia, metals from Australia and our guide mentioned the altar is gold. The room is air conditioned and they provide long robes for non-muslim tourists even if we were within dress code.

Largest mosque in Brunei
#freehotelstay
Named after Hassanal Bolkiah, the 29th and current Sultan of Brunei, the Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque is the largest one in the country, spacious enough for to accommodate 4,000 worshippers at a time. Using only the finest materials imported from all over the world - Philippine hardwood, Italian marble, Persian carpets, and of course, real gold for its 29 domes, the main hall is also fully equipped with strong air-conditioning, turned on 24 hours daily 🫢

Exploring the Richness of the Royal Realm
Visiting Brunei was an enriching experience, especially the visits to the iconic mosques and museums. The Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque is a marvel of modern Islamic architecture, with its majestic dome and minarets reflecting beautifully on the surrounding lagoon. Equally impressive is the Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, which stands as a testament to Brunei’s deep Islamic faith. The museums, particularly the Royal Regalia Museum, offered a glimpse into the sultanate’s regal history and culture. The collection of ceremonial regalia and gifts to the Sultan is truly awe-inspiring. Each exhibit tells a story of Brunei’s rich heritage and the nation’s journey through time. Overall, the serenity of the mosques and the splendor of the museums made my visit to Brunei a memorable journey into the heart of Malay culture and Islamic tradition.
