They could’ve also played some Chinese songs, though 😆 PS: Indonesia is a country with >80% Muslim population so only minority of people celebrates Lunar New Year. But as our country’s motto is “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika” or Unity in Diversity, we do have public holidays for every religion’s holy days, LNY included. Saw this place from outside (Jenderal means General, as in Army General), and couldn’t help but trying it out. Immediately greeted by the receptionist as in a fine-dining restaurant who ushered me to my seat, then I immediately noticed that they roast their own beans here! Tried their Aceh Gayo beans with V60 preparation (tasty, not too acidic, more chocolatey flavor) and opted for their Tape Bakar, a fancy take of “Colenak” a typical Sundanese dessert made of fermented cassava, topped with palm sugar and shaved coconut. This one they also add fresh coconut flesh and a slice of jackfruit. Not bad at all! They offer variety of meals as well, from western to Indonesian foods, with a rather high pricing point. #celebratewithtrip in the new cafe in Bandung, Wheels Coffee Roasters! They just opened in this location end October 2022 and up until now, everyday during lunch time will always have waiting list! Went there on a Wednesday 11AM and we only got table at 12:30PM (ended up having our lunch elsewhere and just had coffee here 😂). So come early or reserve first! They also provide a VIP room for those who needs quieter place to chat or have a meeting. Based on how crowded it is, the food’s supposedly good. Coffee wasn’t too special, they ran out of Oatmilk that day so I only ordered Americano. Anyways, good experience but won’t come back anytime soon. Let’s wait until the hype dies down 😆 Address - Jl.
