The interior is modern
#April Travel Support Fund I had the opportunity to visit an old wooden house using a friend's chance. The interior was modern and well-renovated, which was amazing. Of course, the ceiling was a little low, but it didn't seem uncomfortable to live in. One bad thing was that the windows opened outward, so they said it was hard to clean. Be sure to go to the tourist center in Goslar and listen to the city tour guide.

Kabelitz House and Beck Farmer's House
#AprilTravelSupportHaus Kabelitz and Ackerbürgerhaus Beck are next to each other. The exterior of each building was built in 1592 and 1606, so it felt different. What was particularly noticeable was that it said who renovated it in which year, so you can learn about the history of the building. I recommend visiting Goslar, which has a lot to see. 📍Bäckerstraße 2, 38640 Goslar

The appearance of a medieval city
#AprilTravelSupportThe city of Goslar was fortunately able to avoid bombing during World War II because it was a small city. Thanks to that, we can still see beautiful medieval wooden buildings. If you come to Germany, I recommend you visit there to see the traditional German medieval appearance. #germanytravel

In Goslar, a place not visited by many Korean tourists
#AprilTravelSupport Foreigners may feel this way when they visit Hahoe Village or Jeonju Hanok Village. There are houses that look like picturesque scenes that they have never seen before, and they make them stop in their tracks. Goslar is a place that is about an hour away by train from Göttingen, famous as a university city, or Hanover. If you are traveling nearby, make happy memories in Goslar, which is not visited by many Korean tourists, in addition to the big cities. #germanytravel

Goslar Cathedral
#AprilTravelSupport The Goslar Cathedral, built in the 12th century during the Middle Ages, has almost completely collapsed, and only the entrance remains. I was able to imagine the grandeur of the cathedral at that time with the explanation. It is easy to find because it is right in front of the Kaiserpfalz, so I recommend it. 📍Kaiserbleek 2-3, 38640 Goslar

You can see it while touring the old town
#AprilTravelSupport While sightseeing in Goslar Old Town, you can see wooden buildings that expand as they go up, and it was amazing to find buildings that are built so that their roofs almost touch other buildings. You can see people living in buildings built in the Middle Ages, so you will never regret visiting them. #germanytravel

A former monastery
#AprilTravelSupport It used to be a monastery, so it is surrounded by a wall between the Nerwerkkirche church and the sidewalk. There is a small garden around the church building, so it is nice to take a walk, so if you visit Goslar, I recommend you feel the peaceful German atmosphere around the church.

#AprilTravelSupport If you are lucky, you can hear the bells playing as the three moving figures depicting the people who worked in the Goslar mines open on the hour at Marktplatz in the city center of Goslar. It will be a special memory, so I recommend you to stop by.

Around the Goslar Jacobi Cathedral
#AprilTravelSupport Goslar Around the Jacobite Cathedral, shops are located on Jakobikirchehof Street. On days when the medieval market is held, merchants selling goods in medieval clothes sit here, making you feel like you've really entered the medieval times. There are always many events held in Goslar, so I recommend searching and stopping by before you visit. #germanytravel

Goslar, a city with 1102 years of history
Goslar had four gates during the medieval period, similar to the four gates of Seoul. The Achstermann Hotel is built with the remaining city walls intact, allowing you to see the deep history with your own eyes. Besides that, there are many other attractions in this 1102-year-old city, making it a great place to create enjoyable memories with history. Highly recommended.

Goslar Station
#AprilTravelSupportThe building at Goslar Station is also an old stone building, so it seems to be undergoing continuous renovation. One thing that was disappointing was that the ticket booth at the station was moved to a container building due to renovation, and its business hours were not long, so it was completely closed on weekends. Of course, it would be fine for young travelers because they can use the app, but it might be difficult for seniors… .

One and a half hours drive from Kassel
It is a beautiful town on the Fairy Tale Avenue
It is also one of the witch towns around the Harz Mountains.
Our family unanimously agreed that this was the most beautiful town on the entire Fairy Tale Road trip
Beautiful half-timbered houses, perfect for taking photos from every angle
We visited the Goslar Palace.
You can rent an audio guide, which is available in Chinese!
The exhibits are the remains of the stone palace and the giant murals in the hall.

Witch City Goslar, Germany
The world cultural heritage Goslar is located in the Harz Mountains in Lower Saxony, Germany. It has a population of about 50,000, 47 churches and monasteries, and hundreds of years old half-timbered houses are everywhere. It was known as the "Rome of the North" in ancient times and is now called the "Witch City".
May 1st is regarded as the beginning of summer, and Walpurgis Night on April 30th is the day when witches gather according to the legend of the Harz Mountains. Since the end of the 19th century, Witches Festival parades have been organized on this evening. Local residents and tourists dress up in costumes of witches, liars, musicians, dragons, unicorns, werewolves and other characters, wear witch masks, ride on brooms into the streets from all directions of the town to welcome the arrival of the witches together, and then march to the desolate Brocken Mountain. After nightfall, the witch dance begins, fireworks are lit at midnight, and the witches set out on their journey home. They flew away roaring, leaving Mount Harz to the May Goddess.
According to tradition, to combat witchcraft, crosses and firewood were tied to doors, whips were cracked, and church bells were rung. #GermanyTravel #Germany #WorldHeritage #WorldHeritageCulturalRelics #AncientTown #EuropeTravel #ExploreEuropeanTown #deutschland #saxonyAnhalt #goslar
