Opened in 2001, the Ishinomori Manga Museum is a memorial hall for the manga artist Ishinomori Shotaro, who was born in Miyagi Prefecture. Shotaro Ishinomori, who was talented at a young age, wrote novels on his left and comics on his right. At the age of 12, he published a doujinshi "A Drop of Ink", and published his first comic book the following year. Because of his good writing skills, the middle school teacher encouraged Ishinomori Shotaro to become a full-time novelist, but Ishinomori Shotaro, who loves comics, is more focused on the road of becoming a manga artist. Later, he met the nobleman Osamu Tezuka in his life. With the help of Osamu Tezuka, Shotaro Ishinomori published famous works such as "Artificial Man 009" and "Masked Superman Series" that everyone in Japan knows about.
