InterContinental Barcelona
📍📌 Address: Avenida Rius I Taulet 1-3, Barcelona, Spain
I stayed at the InterContinental Barcelona when I visited the city, and it was a truly special experience. The hotel is located in the heart of Montjuïc, surrounded by attractions such as the Magic Fountain, Olympic Stadium, and Montjuïc Castle. From the hotel, you can walk to Plaça d'Espanya and Gran Via, which is super convenient! The subway station is nearby, making it easy to get around and visit all the popular attractions.
🛋️ The hotel has a modern decor style, simple yet stylish. The lobby is spacious and well-lit, with a business center and some lounge areas. We were warmly welcomed by the staff when we arrived at the front desk, and the check-in process was very smooth. The room was large and well laid out. Although it is a business hotel, it was very comfortable. The room had everything you might need, such as a coffee machine, mini fridge, spacious work area, and dining area. The details were well thought out.
🛏️ We booked a deluxe room, which was very spacious, with a separate bedroom, a fully equipped bathroom, and a large smart TV. The bed was very comfortable, and the bedding was super soft, so we slept well every night. The bathroom had a separate shower, bathtub, and toilet, with a modern design. The water flow was strong, and the shower was comfortable. The toiletries had a light fragrance, which was a plus. The room was cleaned daily, and the service was very attentive.
🍽️ Breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of options, especially the French pastries and fresh fruit, which were delicious. The hotel has a bar and pool on the top floor, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Barcelona. The views are different during the day and at night. The pool is not large but sufficient, and swimming while enjoying the city views is a great experience.
🚶♂️🚇 The hotel is conveniently located near subway and bus stations, just a 10-minute walk from Poble Sec subway station. There are many outdoor restaurants and shopping centers nearby, where you can visit the Arenas de Barcelona and enjoy tapas to experience the local culture. For those who want to shop, Passeig de Gràcia is a must-visit, with a variety of international brands and boutiques. The Sagrada Família, Casa Milà, and Casa Batlló are also nearby, all classic works by Gaudí. You will be amazed by the intricate designs when you visit these buildings.
Overall, the InterContinental Barcelona offers satisfying facilities and service, with a great location, making it suitable for both vacation and business trips. I will definitely choose this hotel again when I return to Barcelona.
