I heard that Mlesna Tea, which I enjoyed a lot during my trip to Sri Lanka, is now in Tokyo. I also heard that they offer all-you-can-eat scones! This time, I went there with a friend, so I'll report on it! I went there for the all-you-can-eat scones. When I made a reservation, the only session available was from 5pm, so you can see how popular it is. When I arrived exactly on time, I was given a numbered ticket and instructed to look around the store and wait. After a while, my number was called and I was allowed through to the second floor. The seats are limited to 1 hour and 45 minutes, and you are asked first if there is a tea flavor that you don't like. The confiture-type flavors include lemon-flavored clotted cream, whipped cream, chestnut cream, and strawberry jam, and you can also get two types of sauce. You can have as much refills as you want. I'm so happy that I can have as much clotted cream as I want...By the way, everything was delicious. There are two types of scones: pie-like (like Kentucky Fried Chicken biscuits) and large regular types, and you are given two of each at first. Freshly baked and happy! My friend and I preferred the regular scones. The scones were not brought whenever we wanted, but rather the staff went around to each table and added one at a time when they were done baking. It seemed like they were baking each type in turn. I ended up eating about six scones and was full. The tea was delicious, of course, and we enjoyed a variety of different types. It was free flow, but the staff brought the next one randomly, so we couldn't choose the flavor. When I went to amsu tea, I remember having about 18 refills and refusing the last one, but here we stayed until the time limit and were given about 11 cups (plus complimentary iced tea and tea soda). Sometimes the tea ran out and we couldn't eat the scones. It would be nice if there were more opportunities to get more tea. Also, it was a 2-hour system, so it got hectic towards the end. This is a popular restaurant loved by locals, and there is always a long line whether you go in the morning, at lunch, or in the evening. They also sell other fried foods besides menchikatsu, but the best menu at this restaurant is menchikatsu. When you take a bite of freshly fried menchikatsu, the meat juice bursts out and you will automatically applaud. The line also moves quickly, so it is a restaurant worth waiting in line to eat at! 7️⃣ Kanekoya A restaurant that always has a long line and makes you wonder what it is. It is a restaurant that sells tendon, so the line was long before it opened. It's a hidden gem that I found out about thanks to a friend who's studying abroad in Japan☺️ The interior is filled with Ghibli characters and related props! Since it's not an officially licensed restaurant from Ghibli, the food and drinks aren't shaped like Ghibli characters or anything. However, if you order food or drinks, they will lend you a Ghibli character figure or doll to take pretty pictures with, and there are many elements throughout the store that will make Ghibli fans crazy😆 In the middle of the store, there was a giant Totoro, and the tables on both sides were the best seats👍🏻 I heard that it operates on a reservation basis, so you should probably make a reservation in advance! There is a matcha fair from April 1st to 30th, so I bought the limited-edition Uji Matcha Ogura Antaiyaki. I also bought the standard cream taiyaki and ate it on the spot. The shop staff were very friendly. You can see them baking from outside. Recommended points: The bean paste was packed from head to tail and it was very delicious. There were also foreign customers who ate it on the spot while saying how delicious it was. The surface was beautiful and the bean paste was firmly packed. Recommended. I went in the evening, it was not crowded, and the food came quickly after I ordered. The menu is posted in front of you, so it's easy to see when you want to order more. Recommended points: Cheap. I think it's a good deal to get such a cheap price in front of Kichijoji Station. The two-color bowl has a lot of rice. I recommend ordering natto or something extra. The interior of the shop, which is attached to a cafe, was stylish and the aroma of curry was in the air. It was located at the bottom of the stairs, so it was a place where you could relax and unwind. ▷Menu The menu I ordered this time was a two-item curry. You can choose two out of about five curries to order. They all looked delicious, so I had a hard time choosing... ▷Recommended points There are so many curry shops in Kichijoji that it's hard to decide where to go. If you want to eat a watery type of curry, this curry is recommended for those who say that! This is an antique pottery shop located in Kichijoji that has a Japanese traditional feel. If you like Japanese pottery, this place is definitely worth a visit. 🏮 Atmosphere & Location I found out about this place through Google Maps and visited, but it was an unexpectedly pleasant discovery for me who didn't know the area well. There are many pretty cafes and restaurants with a local feel around the shop, so it was fun to look around before and after looking at the pottery. (However, I was left with a regret that I definitely want to stop by a restaurant or cafe next time!) 🍶 Product Composition This is a used pottery shop that specializes in not only bowls, but also various antique products such as trays and small furniture. The store is not large, but it was full of items with a Japanese beauty, so it was fun to look around. Ceramics such as sake cups, tea cups, and plates are sold individually or as a set. The prices are relatively reasonable, so you can choose without feeling burdened. A sister restaurant of "6th by oriental hotel" that used to be in Yurakucho.
