What is it like to have fine dining in a gallery?
Art and food are a perfect match in life! When they collide together, the feeling of mind and hand being in harmony, and forgetting about the world and myself, is simply wonderful! Grand Hyatt Shanghai is going big this time!
Dynamic LED and projection technology simulates the growth of wheat fields and the flow of starry nights. The table switches the theme of light and shadow according to the order of meals (such as "Autumn Wheat Waves" for lunch and "Van Gogh's Starry Sky" for dinner)
The design is just like a valley, making people feel like they are traveling in nature, with light flowing, which is very comfortable.
The layout of the restaurant is full of natural atmosphere. The khaki sofa and velvet fabric are super comfortable to touch. The lines of the tables and chairs are simple yet thoughtful, and the combination is just right.
There are also 270-degree floor-to-ceiling windows, which provide excellent lighting. The entire restaurant is filled with the simple and natural style of Impressionism. The coolest thing is the starry sky art installation, which is simply a live version of Van Gogh's "Starry Night". The stars are twinkling in the sky, so beautiful that you can't take your eyes off!
The plate decoration is also unique, inspired by Monet's "Water Lilies". Those colorful lines with soft brushstrokes are like flowing water, or they seem to capture the light and shadow on the water surface at that moment. The whole plate looks gentle and artistic, it's like the Impressionist style comes alive before your eyes!
This time, Yin Art Restaurant Gallery has put in a lot of effort to use world-renowned artists to empower the food space and let art enter every moment of our lives! When they opened, they specially created an "Impression" themed space. From paintings to afternoon tea, meals, bars, and cultural and creative products, all of them are Impressionist elements. It is so exquisite!
Six-course and eight-course European dinners, every dish is a work of art! Six-course dinner “Impression of the Four Seasons”: Inspired by Monet’s “Haystacks” series, the dinner interprets the cycle of the four seasons through the changes in color and temperature of ingredients (such as cold asparagus soup with cherry blossom jelly in spring and wagyu beef with beetroot puree in winter).
For example, the pan-fried foie gras is crispy and golden on the outside, but tender and juicy on the inside. Paired with homemade applesauce and red wine sauce, it is the ultimate enjoyment for your taste buds in one bite!
There is also the slow-cooked Wagyu beef, the meat is extremely tender, and paired with the special black pepper sauce and roasted garlic chips, it is so delicious that you can't stop eating it! Every dish is unforgettable, it is simply a double feast for taste and vision!
Artist-in-Residence Collaboration: Invite contemporary artists to co-create dishes every quarter, such as the BC ingredient menu in 2024 in collaboration with Chinese-Canadian chef Link Lin, which combines ingredient textures with abstract paintings.
