Nestled within the shopping mall called IMM in the west, Hai Di Lao is a marvellous place to celebrate any special occasion! Not only will the staff put up decorations at your table, they will also bring you an Instagrammable board frame to take photos with. While waiting in the queue into the restaurant, they also have all sorts of activities and freebies to keep customers occupied. For instance, they give our free cracker snacks which are absolutely tasty! The actual food and hotpot broths are also equally delicious, an all-round treat for the family. We had the promotion bento at S$5.90 only. Each set came with a miso soup and two side dishes, salad and fried dumplings, really value for money. I chose the Grilled Saba Fish Bento. It tasted delicious and the portion was big. The salad was sweet and sour finely chopped vegetables, appetising and refreshing. There are also choices for Ebi Prawn and Teriyaki Chicken Bento, Stir-fry Chicken and Fish Fillet Bento, Salmon and Karaage Chicken Bento and many more. The owner was friendly. There was a long queue when we arrive at this restaurant. It was 6pm dinner time on saturday. We got our table in about 20 mins. There is wide selection of meat for you to choose from the menu. We ordered the set and also additional ala carte meat. If you love to barbeque, this is the place for you. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This Thai restaurant is one of my go to food paradise. I just love Thai food and if you’re looking for an authentic thai food Saap Saap Thai is one of the best! their braised beed tendon is really savory the soup is filled with herbs and spices. We visited ANDES by Astons at IMM on a Saturday night, and the place was absolutely packed with diners. The first hiccup came when we tried to scan the QR code to order—mobile signal was too weak inside the restaurant. After several failed attempts, we ended up queuing at the counter to order manually, which kind of defeated the purpose of the digital system. Food took a while to arrive, likely due to the crowd and what seemed like limited kitchen staff, but we appreciated that the servers remained calm, patient, and friendly throughout. In terms of taste, the food was solid and lived up to the Astons brand—no complaints on the quality or flavor. However, we did notice that prices at ANDES seemed a bit steeper than the usual Astons outlets, which made us question the value a little. Overall, it was a decent dinner with reliable Western fare, but the ordering process and long wait times took away from the experience. #springitinerary The Mui Zai Fish Soup is one of my favourites when I have my lunch time. If you are staying around the genting Jurong area be sure to visit the food centre here at the imm building at Jurong. The fishes are very fresh and you can taste the spring taste of the fish. They also have other vegetable ingredients and tofu which goes very well with the fish and seafood.

You would want to head to Westgate and follow the directions above that say “J Walk”. You will pass through a hospital and reach the mall from there. I love their Nike and Cotton on outlets here especially! Their items don’t feel out of date. Their Coach Outlet store is also very popular. They also have furnitures on the third floor. Do look up their directory first and see if you’d like to visit! You may find great deals here and there, I always ended up leaving with 1 bag at least haha

#familytrips2024 At the upper floor, there is a garden plaza right next to the kopitam. The garden plaza even has a playground inside. Your children will definitely like to visit this place. You can also take a rest and walk around the garden plaza while your children play around at the children's playground. Our dream destination for our family trip is to visit Shanghai Disney land. The children will definitely enjoy seeing all the cartoon characters. We will also be able to enjoy ourselves there as we have not been to the Disney land at the Shanghai city.
