Santorini, Greece in July, and Imeroviglio in particular, was such a place. 🌊 Imeroviglio is a small town that makes you feel as if time has stopped flowing. It actually felt like time was passing slowly. 🩵 When the sun sets, the white buildings are dyed in red sunset light, creating a mystical spectacle. As you walk through the alleys here, you will be greeted by small, hidden cafes and shops, and you will feel your heart at ease in the quiet atmosphere. It is the epitome of slow life. A glass of wine while looking at the sea from the terrace makes you forget all the worries of the world, and when you see the blue waves of the sea gently rippling, it is so beautiful that you feel as if you are in a scene from a movie. And at that moment, I was sure that every moment here would be forever memorable☺ The daily life in Imerovigli is simple, but the happiness found in it gives a deep satisfaction that is hard to find in any fancy travel destination. Unlike other famous areas in Santorini, it was not crowded with tourists, so I could feel the more leisurely and authentic charm of Greece! Santorini is located in the southern part of the Aegean Sea in Greece, across the sea from Crete. The island is formed by three towns connected in series: Fira, Firostefani and Imerovigli. The blue and white houses are the essence of Santorini. Whether you live in Fira, Firostefani or Imerovigli, you can easily walk to the 🚶🏻‍♂️cliff walkway, wander along this road, take photos 📸, get closer to the Aegean Sea step by step, and have a more real and closer view 👀of the azure Aegean Sea and the volcanic island 🌋. The cliff 👣walk is about 3 kilometers long, and Firostefani is located in the middle of the trail, 1.5 kilometers from the towns on both sides. If you start from Fira, you are walking uphill; if you start from Imerovigli and go towards Fira, you are walking downhill. At any point on the promenade, you can overlook the Aegean Sea, look out at the volcanic island, and enjoy the sunset. 📍⛳️Fira is the capital of Santorini and a traditional settlement. The town has convenient transportation. There are direct buses to Oia Town🏕️, Black Sand Beach and Red Sand Beach🏖️, etc. It is the bus transfer station for Santorini. Santorini is one of the destinations I love coming back to. Not only is the island special because of famous Oia sunsets, but also the dramatic cliff views, delicious seafood served by the Amoudi Bay and a vast selection of of the most incredible hotels offering stunning Caledra views. The weather then is already mild and pleasant for sightseeing. The top place to stay is Imerovigli- home to all the luxury pool villas overlooking the cliffside.
