| The fairy tale world that people born in the 80s long for has been found by me!. “I am Popeye the Sailor Man, I love to eat spinach, and thus I am incredibly strong!” ——Popeye 🛶 'Popeye the Sailor Man' was one of my favorite cartoons in childhood! The images of the protagonist Popeye, his girlfriend Olive, and the villain Bluto are still vivid in my memory. Whenever Popeye needed energy, he would open a can of spinach, eat it heartily, and then puff on his pipe. 🛟 Watching Popeye as a child also changed my perception of 'spinach', making me believe that eating more spinach could give me magical strength like Popeye's~ ⚓️ I never imagined that the colorful seaside cabin where the character Popeye (Popeye) lives actually exists. It turns out there is a place in the world called 'Popeye Village'! I was recommended by my friend. She was telling me how beautiful Malta was and here we go! I spent 4days and 3 nights in Malta. Aside from all the tourists spots, I would recommend you to visit Popeyes village. This is not somewhere that will be recommended to tourist, kinda like hidden spot. The village was built in 1980 for film and it became the major tourist attractions in Malta. Trust me! It is definitely worth to visit. The sea view and houses around were just amazing, especially during the evening. From Valletta, you can take 222 bus to Mellieha Bay, change to 237 bus to reach the village. There are many “taking picture” spots that you can explore around. Popeye Village 📍Triq Tal-Prajjet, Il-Mellieħa, Malta In Malta, I was exploring around their local food. I would definitely recommend you to try Caviar& Bull. The caviar tasted so good! Aside from Caviar, we ordered Beef Rib eyes and spaghetti as our main. The beef rib eyes was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but the spaghetti sauce was a lil to sour for us. We also ordered baked pumpkin. It doesn’t taste like normal pumpkin that we usually had. But we find it very interesting. As a coconut lover, I ordered one of the cocktail from the drinks menu. It was kinda like pineapple 🍍 + coconut 🥥. It tastes so so good and it was served with a layer of shredded coconut on top. P/s: The bread that they served before meal was so delicious and we even ordered extra portion! Haha 😆 So check it out! On a recent visit to Malta, I went to Golden Bay for the incredible sunsets. Located in the north of the main island, it offers stunning views over the Mediterranean towards Italy. The beach itself is beautiful and has vendors offering jet skiing, yachting, and paragliding for the adventurous among us! St Paul’s Island is a small island off the north east coast of Malta. According to legend it’s close to the location where Saint Paul was shipwrecked on his way to Rome in around 60 A.D. A great way to enjoy a lovely sunny afternoon is to have a lovely lazy weekend lunch. Which is exactly what we did recently in Mellieha at the Villager restaurant. The menu is fairly limited but seasonal and they have an interesting selection of dishes. If you’re visiting Mellieha in Malta this year and looking for a nice place for lunch or dinner, I would definitely recommend the Villager restaurant. Selmun Palace or Selmun Tower as it is also known was built by the Knights of St John in the 1700s. Although it looks very much like a fort (it was built in the style of the previous century) it was in fact originally built as a hunting lodge. More recently a hotel was built behind the palace but has been closed since 2011 however it is quite fun to explore. #malta #mediterranean #fort

What better way to start Valentine’s Day then to have a hearty breakfast we went to Al Ponte in Mellieha to enjoy the full English breakfast. The restaurant is part of a hotel, but it is open to non-guest also. The food is mainly Italian dishes including pasta and pizza they also do fish and meat dishes. A really romantic ‘hidden’ spot away from the hordes of tourists is the Selmun bar and Restaurant it’s a beautiful rustic countryside establishment surrounded by beautiful nature. They were lovely walks in the area and possible to walk to the coastline and find some romantic quiet spots to enjoy the beauty of nature and go swimming with your date. With crystal clear waters and some very pleasant beaches, Malta is a great place to come if you want to enjoy some beach time, even in the winter! When you think of Malta, hiking may not be the first thing that comes to mind but the spring and autumn are a great time of year for hiking in Malta, as the temperatures are mild but still warm there is often a cool breeze too. Just be careful of those sudden sharp showers. One of my favourite coastal hikes in Malta is hiking along the coast through Il-Majjistral Nature & History Park, which is located in the north of Malta. The coastline here is really dramatic with some really incredible rock formations and features. The hike is a little challenging so make sure you wear good hiking boots. #getgoing2025 #malta #hiking

The best hotel I've stayed at on Oahu, Hawaii. Reasonable prices, and we had a great time. Highlights: 1. Great spot for kayaking, and kayak rentals are free 2. Good yoga classes 3. Amazing live music in the lobby 4. Beautiful garden design with great views of the channel and ocean 5. Friendly service at the front desk. If we return to Oahu, we would love to come back again.

I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the place that exists in our childhood memories - Popeye Village. Although I didn't enter the park, I felt its unique and fairytale-like charm through the embrace of the ocean. 🏰💫 Standing by the sea, looking at the colorful little houses from afar, it was as if the scenes from the cartoon suddenly became real, and every detail was so vivid and familiar. Under the blue sky and white clouds, Popeye Village was peaceful and vibrant, reminding me of the cartoons we used to watch together, the same scenes that touched the soft memories of childhood. 🎨🌞 Even just standing outside the village, I could deeply feel the magic here. The sea breeze gently brushed by, carrying a slightly salty scent, and the waves lapped against the shore, making a peaceful yet powerful sound, everything seemed so harmonious and beautiful. 🌬🌊 This trip made me deeply feel the intersection of fairy tales and reality, and the magic that belongs only to Malta. This is not just a tourist attraction, but a place where the soul can be healed.
