Witness the Iditarod dog sled race in Nome
Pack your bags and head WAY NORTH to Nome Alaska. This is the finishing point for the same as Iditarod dog sled race which happens every year. I was lucky enough to be one of the handler‘s for a top racing team in 2018. Broaden your horizons and discover all of the exciting facts about these amazing dogs and their mushers. The race has an amazing history as it used to be these trails were used to deliver medicine to the remote Indian tribes living up north and those original dog sled mushers were in a sort of silent competition….
The Iditarod has been called "the last great race on Earth"— a long, blistering competition across nearly 1000 miles of Alaskan wilderness.
The race starts in March and snow determines the starting point. Make your reservations early and book your tickets to the finish line as there are a few airlines that fly and accommodations can be difficult so book away in advance.
